All day at DHS?

You can definitely spend a day there if you plan on seeing some of the shows. In fact, on our last trip, we ran out of time to do everything we wanted to!

In addition to the fastpassing for the big rides, etc. you can spend at least an hour or more in the Animation Building. Go through the tour, take a drawing class and meet the characters. If you're lucky, more bonus characters will randomly show up too, but at the very least you'll get Sorcerer Mickey with a DHS backdrop, a "current movie" character or group, the Incredibles and I think one more are always there. You may find you really enjoyed that drawing class and want to do it again.

If you have photopass, keep an eye out for the photographers in different spots and really get your money's worth.

Indiana Jones, American Idol and Lights,Motor,Action take a while and definitely will fill up time. Check the times guide and work it into your plan as best you can.

Star Tours has so many variations that you can ride it 5 or 6 times and hopefully see a lot of different versions. You may even be a rebel spy!!

I was the Rebel Spy!!

Got kids that would want to do Jedi Training, sign up first thing and you're in.

Sorry, my bad...

Run to TSMM, get FP
Get in line for ToT and ride
Run to RnRC, get in line and ride
Go back to TSMM for FP ride
Go to ST and ride
Go to GMR and ride
Get in line for Indiana Jones and wait for an hour
Eat
Lather, rinse, repeat.
See Fantasmic!

Don't forget Lights! Motors! Action! Extreme Stunt Show!

Our plan is to go to DHS on Thursday and this includes seeing Fantasmic. Is there enough to do/see to stay there all day, basically from open to F!???

It depends on what you like to do. If you do the big rides like ToT and RnR, then yes. If you have young children that have limited interests than probably not. With DS:

FP TSM
Run over and sign up for Jedi training
Back over to ride TSM
FP either ToT or RnR
Ride the other
Indiana Jones
LUNCH - Depending on time where it fits in.
Muppets
Maybe FP TSM again at some point to go back later
Backlot tour
HISTK play area
RnR again
DINNER
Repeat any others you like. Could also see VotLM or BatB shows. There could be some meet and greet in there as well. Parade
Fantasmic!

With my DD, she does not do a lot of the rides so it is a 1/2 day for her and back to the pool or DTD.

Uummmm......No offense, but they could skip that one. Baking in the sun watching cars drive around is kind of anti-climatic in our opinion. Others do enjoy it though. Boy I hope they do something good with this area when it closes.

They are often overlooked, but my family and I spend the majority of our day watching the Citizens of Hollywood. They are hilarious and worth taking atleast a thirty minute break to watch. They do five sets a day typically alternating with Disney Channel Rocks with their last skit at 3:30.

More than enough. But if you have hoppers, you're better off spending the day at Epcot and going just for Fantasmic. It'll be crowded.

When are you going?

We were there last Sept and arrived around 10-10:30. We didn't have to run to anything and still rode the big rides over & over & over again.

If you have boys they will probably like the Stunt Show, I know mine did. My 11 yr old had my camera during the show and OMG the pictures he took.

We ate at the 50's Diner, had ADR's and got our table right a way. It's fun, the kids loved the antics of the servers and the chicken was fabulous. We also had lunch at Pizza Planet. It's cute if your kids like Toy Story and I think you get a good amount of food for the price.

I also agree about going to see the Muppets. Make sure you get to Fantasmic early even if you go in the off-season. We strolled up about 7:30 for the 8:00 show and it was already standing room only. Our one big mistake!!

We were definately there all day even if we would have gotten there at rope drop we still would have stayed, we would have rode ToT & RNR more times. This park ended up being one of our favorites.
