Is there a charge for all cars or only if you vallet? Is it daily, or each time you move the car?

You are charged $6/day for having your car parked in the resort lot. Vallet is more...maybe $12/day? I don't remember for sure.

Yep, and rarin' to go!

Self-parking is $7 per day. I checked out of the Royal Pacific Resort yesterday and we were charged $7 per day to park our car at the resort.

Well, I guess it went up since the last I checked

Just got my reservation confirmation from Royal Pacific and it say $7 for self-parking. I still think it's silly to have to pay for parking. They're already getting enough out of me for the hotel :confused3

I guess their reasoning is: "If you have a car then you can drive and eat somewhere else instead of our outrageously inflated prices! For that, we're gonna charge you $7 a day!!!"

I'm glad our two families are in one mini bus and hopefully we will only be charged $7 and not $14. We have Universal APs which give us free parking at the theme park. It seems ridiculous that we have to pay at the hotel.

A LOT of hotels charge for parking. If you visit a hotel in a major city they charge at least $20 a night for parking.

Yep, most do, esp. resort hotels. It is still silly, what on earth do they expect you to do with your car? And what does your $7/day get you? Not much. Their lots are already paid for, and at prices like $200/night, maint. of the lots is covered. You don't get much in the way of security. They aren't liable for damage etc. to your vehicle. Flame if you will, but I think the extra charge is greedy and absurd. I pay it, of course, but that doesn't mean I have to like it!

I understand when cities like New York, London, Paris charge you as land prices are at a premium and these locations really cannot get enough land to use for car parking. However coming from London it seems to me that the Orlando area has a lot of land and the prices for a night's stay at HRH is very high and therefore to park your car you would expect to be included.

I can park at the theme parks with my AP but not the hotel. Could I park at the theme parks over night and get the river taxi back!!!! Just joking.
