All are Feb. school vacations on Pres. Day week?

I'd like to go to WDW the week after President's Day's Week. 2/25-3/4/07. I figure all February school vacations are on the week with President's Day (2/19-2/23). So the week after that should have low crowds. Is this a correct assumption? Does anyone have school vacation these dates: 2/25/07-3/4/07?

Thanks. :cool1:

We always go during Presidents week, but we try to squeeze in a couple of extra days the week following and the crowds drop off the week after Presidents.(alot)

Really? DRAT! I figured there would be no school vacations that week.

I don't have this year's calendar, yet, but last year we didn't have a week off - only Pres. Day. here in Central FL.

Really? Maybe it's a New England thing? Up here, the kids have one week off in February and one week off in April.

Yes, we were used to a full week - or at least a 4-day weekend - off coming from the north originally. The schools down here aren't in sync with ones from the northeast. Makes it hard for visiting friends & relatives.

Mardi Gras is February 20 this coming year. Many schools in southeastern Louisiana have a week or part of a week off during that week.

Mass. public schools always had the third full week in Feb off-coincides with President Day, I believe. I know NH tends to have their vacations a week after Mass schools as my neice live up there. I still think the week AFTER President's Day would be less busy than Pres's week!

Same here with the addition of a week off in October known as fall break.

Here, the kids only get off one day in the whole month of Feb. & that's Presidents' Day.

It's the same way here in NYC.

We're heading down on February 14. :cool1:

Kids up north start school late, then get a winter break AND a spring break. Consequently they go to school WAY into the summer. We lived in Chicagoland before here, no Feb break up there (and no fall break, Just Christmas and spring break.) It seems weird to me to have that much time off in Feb when you just had Christmas (do they still get 2 weeks for Christmas/New Year??)

If you are concerned w/ the resort rates, you might want to consider going BEFORE President's Week. We went the week right before.....the crowds were very manageable but up to the last few days it got more and more crowded. Also, the season before P Week is Value. It jumps up the week of P Week and stays that way for a while (I think maybe through April). You might want to doublecheck that to make sure, but that's how it was when we went. I'm not sure why the crowds are so much heavier that week, since most schools only have off that ONE day.

We're from SE Mass and we have the week after President's day off. As far as I know the rest of Mass has President's week off, but the schools in NH and I think maybe NY or NJ have the same week off as us.

We don't go to school WAY into the summer. The first day of summer is June 21. NYC schools get out between June 25- June 28. :confused3

Our school year starts after Labor Day.

We only have 5-7 days out for Christmas.

We have 5-7 days out for spring break. (The number of days out depends on when Easter and Passover fall)

My son and I lived in North Carolina for nine years. I hated going back to school in August. It just seemed so wrong to be sitting in a classroom in the middle of the summer. :rotfl2:

I guess it's just a matter of what you are used to.

I love our school schedule. We have breaks during peak, regular and value seasons. As a result, I'm able to book vacations when school is out without always paying peak prices. :cheer2

The parks get crowded President's Day week and continue to be crowded for the rest of February and March reall until just after Easter. We have the last Friday in Feb off and many of our kids go up for a long weekend before the FCAT. Last year we went that weekend and the parks were fairly crowded and most people said they had been all week. Anytime between Christmas and President's Day with the exception of Martin Luther King weekend would be less crowded and the resorts are less expensive.

Yep, we have the week after off here in Nashua, NH!
