Sleeper car menu:

Did you get a salad? That menu looks more like a coach menu. First class has always gotten a salad, coach didn't. Didn't I read they were making one menu for both dining cars?

I had catfish in Nov and it was wonderful. Catfish is easy to overcook, but it was delicious and moist.

Yes we got lettuce and 2 grape tomatoes.

There were 4 dinner times for sleepers and 3 for coach.

Oh my goodness with the sick boy.. That's horrible.. My dd is allergic to tree nuts. Sounds like you are in a packed train. Glad you got some sleep. I'm like you I don't sleep. I'm always nervous about something.. Lol One hour left!! Woo hoo!!

I wish it was an hour til Disney but we aren't goin there. We are just going to dtd I think.

Yes, I agree with PP, that the meal is the coach meal, which I suspected. Before we got the "medallions of beef" which were really very good, not a flat-iron steak.

So sorry to hear about the sick boy. It's just bad for everyone when you are sick, esp on the train.

I'm really curious about the lounge car but will just assume it was all filled.

Did they offer an evening movie?

I suspect if we can't get in the lounge car than we will be roaming up and down the hallways and stairs. I know we won't be just sitting in just our room and the dinner car for the whole trip.

There was an evening movie gravity on the southbound at 7:15 and 9:15 north is captain Phillips.

FYI we are in our car and just got gas just before getting on I-4

I will try to get to the lounge on the flip side.

And, we've had sirloin (or maybe ny strip) steak before in sleeper diner. I hope everyone reports back what their menu was, whether it's in coach or sleeper so we can see how it varies.

I had the steak when we rode sleeper. It is my understanding that steak is one of the differences between sleeper and coach. Coach is not offered a steak. If they are going to have one menu, I'm concerned they will cancel the steak, which I love.

Never met a cow I didn't like.

Sleeper car menu:

THANK YOU!! I am almost positive that is a different sleeper menu than the menu from last summer. The steak (which we all had last summer) was a NY strip with a red wine sauce. (It was pretty good dinner).

Sorry to hear of that sick boy. I usually don't sleep thru the night as well. Usually wake up several times, but do feel rested for our WDW arrival day plans.

We have always been sleeper side with choice of 5:00, 7:00, and 9:00 for dinner. When the happy hour was still intact, we always did the 7:00 as it seemed to space out the food perfectly. Now with the deletion of happy hour wine and snacks will have to rethink how we travel in the fall with meal times....

When the happy hour was still intact, we always did the 7:00 as it seemed to space out the food perfectly. Now with the deletion of happy hour wine and snacks will have to rethink how we travel in the fall with meal times....

It was 4:30, 6, 7:30 & 9....I think. I know the 1st 2 are correct times.
