All Aboard! A Disney and Orlando Unleashed TR!TONS of PICS! Update 1/2 pg 25

After our Lotso meet and greet, the boys wanted to see about meeting Woody and Buzz in Andy's room across from TSM! The line was too long but we met this guy along the way!

IMG_1346.jpg

At this point it was about 10:15 and Bryan called to say he was waiting for a bus at the AKL, so I told him to fastpass RNRC as soon as he got here and then to call me so we could meet up!

We decided to hit the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground!

While we were in here, Bryan called so we decided to meet for our lunch ressie at Sci Fi! We were starving!!

IMG_1356.jpg

Our car...the hitchhikers were trying to get out of the way...too funny!

IMG_1358.jpg

A side view...

IMG_1360.jpg

The food was pretty good and it was wonderful to relax in the air conditioning out of the heat! After our yummy lunch, Bryan wanted to go to the Great Movie Ride!

IMG_1361.jpg

IMG_1365.jpg

For the first time ever, we got the cowboy scene instead of the gangster scene...we like the gangster one better!

IMG_1366.jpg

IMG_1367.jpg

After the GMR, we hit up One Man's Dream....I LOVE it in here, it is so interesting and the boys love it too!

Eric showcasing Epcot!

IMG_1372.jpg

Then it was off to RNRC for Eric's first ride!

IMG_1372.jpg

You can tell how not crowded it was because I got this picture with almost no one in it!

IMG_1375.jpg

The anticipation is building!

IMG_1376.jpg

IMG_1377.jpg

IMG_1379.jpg

Lesley had suggested that I wait for the front seat so the Eric could see where he was going, so that is what I did! I was a NERVOUS WRECK!!! Eric LOVED it!

Our ride photo....

IMG_1380.jpg

Pure happiness....

IMG_1381.jpg

After our ride with Aerosmith, we decided to head back to the AKL for a swim and a nap! We had to first go into guest relations and renew our annual passes and give our GAD vouchers. When we went in there was a very very small woman working and when her coworker saw Eric he said "come here buddy" so Eric walked over and told him to stand next to her. He was teasing her about how short she was..here is there picture...

IMG_1383.jpg

At one point the other CM says to the woman "excuse me your how old?" We were all cracking up at theis poor womean's expense, it was so funny!!!

After our business was in order, we made our way to the bus stop, but it was raining!

IMG_1387.jpg

After about 15 minutes a bus finally came. The skies once again opened up and it was a monsoon outside, it was lightning and thundering...it was awful. Of course our bus stopped at Blizzard Beach and with the storm it was closed so there were literally a TON of people waiting to get on. They were all soaking wet and no offense but they smlled too...YUCK...it took forever for them to load and the bus ride back from HS took 50 minutes...UGH, we were so happy when we got off that bus!

Coming up next,

to swim or not to swim
hot french waiters
unscheduled maintenance

A Segway tour is such a great gift.
I love the Toy Story decor.
Sci Fi looks like a fun place to eat. Can't wait to try it.

We had a similar situation with loading a WET group of people from Blizzard Beach last summer, and you're right, it smelled SO bad

I love the hitchikers trying to hide! Sounds like a fun morning, but I agree with you about that ridiculous fast pass line for TSM. I just finished reading the first Kingdom Keepers, so One Man's Dream reminds me of the book now! Have you read it? Looks like your group got out of DHS just in time!

A Segway tour is a super cool gift!!!

Looks like you had a great morning at DHS, and you managed to fit a lot of fun into your morning there!

Great update again! I can't wait to hear all about what Bryan thought of the Segway tour. What an awesome gift! You got so much done before lunch. We love doing Sci Fi or 50's Prime time for lunch at HS. It is a nice break for sure. Glad to hear Eric was able to ride RNRC and in the front too :thumbsup2. Your picture is funny and I make that face too during the take off
That stinks the bus stopped to pick up at Blizzard Beach. Looking forward to hearing about the french waiters!

Thanks, yes we did manage to make the best of it!

Thanks! That was the first time we had bad service there! Lesley and I enjoyed chatting with some wine and doing Lauren's hair!!

Yes, Lauren is a pleasure to have around and I live vicariously through my nieces and now Lauren!! Thanks for the compliments!

Too funny Susan about the ghost of Bryan being gone...it's amazing what a shower can wash away!! There is so much to do and see at the AKL....it really is such a unique resort!! I hope you found Lesley's TR!!

Thanks Jackie! We made a fun night out of bad circumstances!!

Thanks, that picture of the boys is one of my favorites too! Thanks for the compliment on Lauren's hair, it was fun to do!!

Thanks! It is frustrating when services don't earn their 18 % but you are still required to give it! We did make the best of it!

Oh my goodness Susan this comment made my night! Thank you so much!! I am always happy at WDW AND whenever I have a drink in my hand!!

Thanks Kelly! Lesley teases (good naturedly of course) me about us a dressing alike but the pictures always turn out so cute!

I know, it is very frustrating, at least the food was still good and we did make the best of it!!

Thanks so much!! I enjoy trying to match so the pics look nice!! Thanks for the comment about Lauren's hair, it was fun to do!!

Thanks so much! We are from Toms River! My dad lives in Mays Landing too! We go to Lavallette to the beach or Point Pleasant!

Thanks melody, I really enjoyed doing her hair! Yes the food is always good!

Do you believe I have never been to Brigantine...those radio commercials for the haunted house used to freak me out when I was younger! Is that still there? I think it was called Brigantine castle?!?

Thanks Laura! Yes, having our car there that night was PRICELESS, especially with the rain!! Sorry you all got so soaked!!

No more Brigantine castle, burned down years ago. That haunted castle was one of the highlites of our trips to Brigantine. I do miss the island but now
have a new love in ocean city!! much more to do and so much more family oriented!!!:goodvibes

We were going to take advantage of having our car and drive to the Poly for dinner so we planned to meet lesley and family in the lobby!
Dontchya just LOVE having a car on property?! We are so spoiled with it now, that it's hard to be there without one!

Just loved seeing all of your 'dressed to impress' pictures... what a beautiful family!!

The kids were CRAZY in the van, singing, laughing and just being LOUD!!!
And when you're in DisneyWorld, this somehow is actually enjoyable! Love that pixie-dust-filled-excitement!

Were were seated in the corner and I will tell you that our servers were the WORST!!!
:sad2: BOOOOOO! I'm so sad to hear that!

The food was delicious as it always was but the service was awful...we had 18% automatic tip written all over us because we were a party of 8!!! We kept joking that our servers were playing Yahtzee in the kitchen!!
It's great that you had each other to laugh about it with. Good for you guys!

Our favorite entertainer was there and she encourage the kids to get up and participate....
Glad to see Matthew participating still! Maybe it just took a while for the magic to take over!

YUUUUUUUMMMMMMYYYYYY!!!!!

Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and had fun together and didn't let the poor service ruin our meal!!!
:hippie:

Tim kept looking at the radar on his iphone and there was a front just stalled over WDW!
iPhones.... :lovestruc Love them....

A very satisfied customer, doesn't she look adorable!!!

IMG_1302.jpg
She sure does! I'm very impressed that you have such mad skills with all boys in your house!
I asked him what he wanted to do tomorrow and he said sleep in......WHAT? Where did he get that idea I wonder?:rolleyes1
Since I just finished reading Lesley's Father's Day update, I have a good guess!

SO, I decided to take them by myself!!
You go, girl!!

One day back at home I was reading a thread on the DIS about the Segway tour in Epcot and thought that this was the PERFECT gift for Bryan!
What a wonderful idea... I love that he got to share it with Tim, too!

I cut out pictures of segways and Spaceship Earth and taped them on his card...
Another cool idea!

but with him not being there, we just decided to do standby!
This was probably a GREAT idea, since most people run to the FP machines first!

A crowd scene for ya....

IMG_1309.jpg
Ugh....:sad2:

The boys love the part in Toy Story 2 when Mrs. Potato Head says to Mr. Potato head "I packed your angry eyes" so they said these were his angry eyes!
I love that part too! Hilarious!

The line was about 40 minutes long!!
:scared1: For FAST PASSES?! WHAT?!! That is CRAZY!

Cute picture.... love how it captures that moment!

Before we knew it, Lotso arrived on the scene!

IMG_1339.jpg
So after seeing the movie, I wonder how many kids are afraid of this guy? Interesting that they chose the villain to put in the space... maybe they could've put Barbie and Ken instead? How cool would that've been!?

We decided to hit the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground!
Looks like the boys had a great time! Has Lesley ever ventured in here yet? I don't remember...

Our car...the hitchhikers were trying to get out of the way...too funny!

IMG_1358.jpg
That is funny! We were hitch hikers on our last trip... I love how they are trying to escape the picture!

For the first time ever, we got the cowboy scene instead of the gangster scene...we like the gangster one better!
I think we've only seen the cowboy scene once... I agree with you about the gangster!

Our ride photo....

IMG_1380.jpg
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Oh, Diane... that is an AWESOME ride photo!!!

Pure happiness....

IMG_1381.jpg
:cool1: Yay Eric!! Such a big kid!

What a great idea for bryan's Father Day gift. I will have to read Lesley TR update in a min to see if he might have a partner in crime on the tour

Looks like you and the boys had a great day at DHS. Yay for Eric being tall enough now to go on RNRC :woohoo:

Love the comments about how Bryan looks like a ghost with his sunblock not rubbed in! I love all the shots you got on an empty Main Street before and after your breakfast!

well during the Space Mountain ride Matthew got a little scared and he was sitting right in front of Tim and screamed "I just Horatioed in my pants!"

:scared1: :lmao:

Sorry about the mini-meltdown before Philharmagic. As others have said, we've all been there! :thumbsup2

Love the boys haircuts and pixie dust!

Your Ohana dinner (and drinks) looked really good! Sorry the service disappointed. The family pics are beautiful!

I love how you all just made the best of a rainy night, and hung out having fun. Lauren's hair turned out adorable! And from what I saw in Lesley's report, it still looked good the next morning! I really wish I could french braid...

I can't wait to hear how Bryan liked the segway tour. DH did it in 2007 and absolutely loved it!

After our fastpass collecting, we headed to the Animation Studio to wait for Lotso from Toy Story 3!!

We hadn't seen the movie yet so couldn't relate to the decor in line but it sure was cute!

Have you seen the movie yet? What do you think of your pics NOW? :rotfl2:

What an awesome gift for Father's Day.... can't wait to hear about that tour!

What a nice mom to go and take both kids to HS and get in the masses for TSM... it is insane isn't?

Hooray Eric for getting to ride RRC! I am glad he liked it, I worry because Hannah hates loud stuff, so that ride might be out for a while!

I hope to get to Sci-Fi soon, it has been a long time since I ate there, and the kids have never been!

It did rain rain go away... I hope you had a great pool time!

OMG the crowds were crazy at HS!!! :scared1: I sure wish that they were still going to have the new drop sequences on TOT when we are there in Dec, but if I understand correctly it is only for the Summer nightastic right?

The Segway tour is such an awesome father's day present...your husband must have been pretty surprised on that one.

The line for TSM fastpasses is crazy... I can't believe anyone would actually wait in that.

Looking forward to your next update:goodvibes

Great Father's Day gift...I'm afraid of the segways....I can just see me going head over tea kettle...not pretty. can't wait to hear how he liked it!

:woohoo: for Eric on RnRC...so glad he loved it...I must say I love the expression on your face in the picture!

We enjoy the ambience of Sci-Fi....we were hitchhikers last time:rolleyes1

Loved your last updates. Too bad about the poor service at O'Hana - at least you didn't let it ruin the meal.

Sounds like a jam-packed day at HS. I think Bryan's ghost has made a reappearance.

What a great Father's Day gift idea with that Segway tour. Way to go Diane!:thumbsup2

Hmmmm.....hot French waiters - hurry up with that next update, would ya? And don't go skimpy on the photos!:rotfl:
