After visiting WDW a dozen times as a family over the last 20 years, we decided to do something different on our last day the this past week, which was to do all 4 parks in one day.

Don't think we could have done it without having our own car, but we arrived at the AK gate 45 minutes before the scheduled EMH opening. the best part about that is that we didn't have to pay to park, because the toll cast members don't get there that early.

We did the following:
Flights of Passage - stand-by
Navi River - stand-by
got a snack and left
Next went to DHS
We did RnR single rider line twice, got cokes and left.
Next went to EPCOT
ate lunch at Via Napoli Pizza (had to wait 20 minutes for the restaurant to open)
Mexico boat ride
Mission Space - Stand-by
Soarin - Stand-by
Headed to the MK where we had FP's for:
Space Mt.
7 Dwarf's Mt.
and Big Thunder Mt.
Got a snack before leaving. After a side stop to change clothes, we headed to the GF and for a late dinner at Citricos.
Probably one of our most enjoyable days at WDW in a very long time.

Wow! What discipline! There's no way I'd be able to go to DHS and just go down Sunset Blvd.

Glad you had such a great day!

We did this in August! It was so much fun. We didn't have our own car, but it still worked. Such a fun day!!

We did the same thing for the first time this summer! It was such a blast for my family. This was something we had talked about on several of our previous trips, but never could time it where it worked out for us to accomplish. This time we planned for it before we left.

Started at MK:
Space Mtn
TTA
Buzz Lightyear
Then took the Monorail to EPCOT:
Test track - single rider (twice)
Mission Space
Figment
Then walked from International Gateway to HS:
Stopped at Boardwalk and took a tour of the 2 BR DVC villa
- this was unplanned as it just happened to be an "Open House" event
Had a late lunch at HS,then hit our FP selections
Star Tours
Toy Story
ToT
then added RnR single rider twice
Headed to AK:
Rode Dinosaur
Everest
and finished with the nighttime safari

It was a great experience and we are still talking about it months later.

Wow, this seems like an awesome thing to try and do! I'd honestly love to do a day like this, but our next visit we're bringing our 3 year old so this would not be a good strategy with a little kid in tow.

Very cool! The most we've done is 3 parks. 4 in a day is certainly a fun way to make memories!

Were you posting photo updates of your progress on one of the FB Disney groups? If it wasn't you, then there was a 60 year old couple doing the same thing yesterday!

Glad you had fun! It's actually not too hard to do the 4-parks, even if you rely on Disney transport! We did it on a Saturday (times from photo timestamps):

9:30-arrive at Animal Kingdom
9:45-Flight of Passage w/FP
10:45-Expedition Everest w/FP (delayed by shopping in Windtraders and CM preventing us from walking direct Africa-Asia)
11:00-Finding Nemo the Musical
12:00-Bus from AK to DHS (I tried to convince my sister to get an Uber so we could also use multiple types of transport, but didn't want to spend the money!)
12:35-Arrive at DHS, character meet with Starlord and Baby Groot
12:50-stop for Mickey Bar and popcorn!
1:05-Friendship boat from DHS to Epcot
1:30-arrive Epcot, have a brief Dismeet with friends
2:00-snack stop (Frozen lemonade slush, German pretzel, Karamel Kouche, Food and Wine booth)
2:30-Frozen Ever After w/FP
2:45-Another snack/rest stop at Kringla
3:45-Monrail to Magic Kingdom
4:20-Character meet with Merida
4:35-Mad Tea Party
4:45-rest/water/AC stop at Gaston's Tavern
5:35-arrive at Big Thunder to use FP, but it had just broken down; attempted to ride Pirates but line was longer than willing to wait
5:50-Tiki Room
6:20-Big Thunder back up, so rode standby to save multi-experience FP
6:40-WDW Railroad from frontier to fantasy land
7:00-checked in at Be Our Guest for dinner; took them 45 minutes to seat us! Another 20 minute wait for the Beast and we missed the beginning of HEA (had seen it another night though)
9:30-sister went on Monsters Laugh Floor while I waited for Once Upon A Time
9:45-Once Upon A Time projection show
10:05-Space Mountain using the multi-experience FP
10:25-People Mover
10:45-wandered down Main Street and got bus back to POFQ

A very long and hot day! But actually not that rushed!

Sounds like a great day! We did it on a Saturday in 2015 quite by accident and had a great day. We used Disney transportation and had no issues. Actually- we had a 5 park day because we did EPCOT twice. We had come in a day early to get a discount, so Saturday was a full day instead of arrival. We had planned FP+ at DHS, but prior to our trip they announced that day was Duffy's last meet and greet day and DD is a huge Duffy fan, so that suddenly became a must do. Our day went:

DHS-- FP+ Toy Story Mania, Spent a lot of time in One Man's Dream because DD (then 9) was very interested in the history of Walt and she had never been in there, and rumor then was it would close soon with the DHS changes; FP+ Star Tours . We had a TOT FP+, but DD didn't want to ride it. Walked to EPCOT.

EPCOT- Duffy's last day (waited 70 minutes in line to see him); F&W for lunch. It was a Saturday, so EPCOT was packed and we were ready to leave after hitting a few of the food booths. Looked at the wait times app and the lines at AK were the shortest. Bus to AK.

AK --- Safari, Walk around and see animals because DD would not do EE single rider and the line was long (she needed her Dad next to her to be brave enough for that ride at that time); See Lion King Show. Bus to EPCOT.

EPCOT- Return for ADR at San Angel. Realize it now has to be a 4 park day as MK is open to midnight. Ride Boat in Mexico. Ride Spaceship Earth on the way out. Monorail to MK.

MK- Electric Light Parade, fireworks, shop. We may have ridden something, I can't remember. Mostly we were there just for the purpose of 4 parks in a day and our next day was a full MK day, so I can't remember if we even went past the hub that night.

Definitely not for everyone and I certainly would not ever want to make it my only visit to one of the parks during a trip- but so much fun if you can hit all the parks and still have a day to fit in a 4 park marathon!

We've done a "get characters" tour in this fashion. You get such a different perspective on things when you're focusing on things you normally wouldn't.

Not quite 60 yet, but no we did it Monday a week ago.

A very long and hot day! But actually not that rushed!

We took our time, because we wanted to enjoy it and not completely wear ourselves out. What helped was staying at the GF, which helped on parking for our final stop.

I did it several years ago and also had a blast. My criteria for each park was: three attractions, eat something, get my picture taken in front of the park icon. I started at AK (which had EMH that morning), then AK to DHS (on the bus), DHS to EPCOT (on the boat) and EPCOT to MK (on the Monorail), so I also utilized the different types of transportation. I didn't use any FP+ or ADR's because I didn't want to stress out trying to keep to a schedule, I just did what suited me when I got to each park. It took less time than I had planned but I was wilted by the end of the day (and it shows in my pictures). I had dinner at Skipper's Canteen and just sat there gulping down ice tea in order to get going again.

I'm thinking I'm going to do it again during my upcoming November trip.

Sounds great! We plan to do this on the last day of our upcoming trip. The plan is to use FP for the toughest to get FP at each park with a few extras thrown in. Thankfully starting with a FOP FP or else it would be even more difficult.

Unfortunately you can only get FP's in advance for one park. Once you use those then you can get additional at other parks. Fortunately it was EMH for AK, so we got there early and were able to do the blue people rides stand-by relatively quickly. We knew we wanted to ride 7 dwarfs, Big Thunder and Space Mt. (Splash was unfortunately down for refurb), and with the MK being our final stop, used all of our FP's for the MK. We got to DS, our second stop right after it opened. Went straight to RnR, did the single rider line twice and were done pretty quickly. We headed to EPCOT, though at that point, we were way ahead of schedule. We booked a last minute lunch in Italy, rode the new (Green Card - Mission Space experience) - which is much better then before, IMO (It's basically a Soarin over the US). Our longest wait was for Soarin, which was 55+ minutes. We headed MK, barely made our first FP 4:00 to 5, got there at 5:05. Our next 2 FP's were 5:00-6 and 6:00 to 7, which we made easily.

We are only scheduling the one FP for FOP and as soon as we tap in there we will start searching for top FP's at 2 other parks. After those are used up we'll work on the last park FP.
