I currently have a AKL Standard View room booked for two nights for $297 a night. While trying to book airline tickets, I have found that if I swap out my Disney days to the opposite end of our Florida visit, we can get much more affordable airfare. However, the $297 standard view is not available. We can book a ALK Pool view for $316 or we can book a Deluxe Studio Standard View Kidani Village for $310 or Savannah View for $376. Honestly, I am wanting to keep it on the lessor end, so probably not considering the Savannah view this time for such a short stay – because we will mostly be at the parks.

Which would you recommend, the Villa or a regular pool view room?

I think the Pool View is a safer bet, at Kidani, some of the standard views face out along the parking lot, bus stops, and front entrance.
I don't know about you but those noises can really mess with my sleep. If you are late sleepers, than pool view may have guests making noise.

There is plenty of opportunity to see the animals from the common areas if so desired.

The standard room will have two queen beds. The villa will have one queen bed and one double sized sleeper sofa. But you'll also have a microwave oven, undercounter refrigerator, coffee pot and toaster.
