Was anyone else upset when they took out Alien Encounter?
I had no idea they had done it until my last trip in Dec/Jan of 05/06, when I searched for it for about an hour with my girlfriend following me asking me what was so good about it.
I didn't even know it was REPLACED with SGE until we went on it on our last night and the line/building/stage area reminded me of AE!

Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone felt the same way about this situation as I do. I absolutely HATE SGE.. Especially that SMELL!

I refuse to ever see Stitches Great Escape AGAIN!! It's horrible and Alien Encounter was soooo good!!!
Sometimes they need to leave some things alone for the older crowds and not make everything into kiddie stuff! (IMO) :teeth:

Did not care for either of them. It was a waste of show space. :sad2:

AE was great, a little too shocking for kids though.

I really liked Stitch. I thought the effects were great and although the chilidog burp stayed with me for like an hour, it laughed my face off from beginning to end.

Aww.. I miss AE.. It was kind of creepy though. Stitch is okay, it's just kind of gross.. I never wanted a chillidog again after going to it. /=.

Alien Encounter, IMO...was better.
I can't stand the smell when you walk into Stitch's...uuugh..what a rotten burp! :rotfl:

I haven't seen either of them, but from the description I read in an older guidebook, I had been looking forward to Alien Encounter. I'm not looking forwrad to Stitch quite so much.

Neither. I think those attractions were a waste of space that could be put to better use.

I am a sci-fi geek, so I absolutely loved Alien Encounter. I don't think the rest of my family cared for it, though. :rotfl: I would put myself in the "believer" mode, and I'd get scared to death! LoL. :teeth:

I enjoyed AE...especially Skippy :goodvibes
I remember riding it when it came out and thinking that it was the coolest thing I'd ever experienced. However, by the 3rd time it was losing it's appeal to me. You know, like when you watch a mystery movie and when you rewatch it, you know what's going to happen and whodunnit.
Haven't had a chance to ride Stitch yet, but I will in 25 more days :cloud9:
Did they keep Skippy?

My mom seriously had an emotional breakdown while on this attraction, almost to the point of having a heart attack. I believe that those bars they pull over your head is practically useless and slam smack down into your sholders. I constantly tried to move them up, but then only came back down even harder. This was just the worst experience ever and I have no intention on ever returing. Before the show or attraction started my mom was asking to get off the attraction but the castmember only shoved the flashlight in her face and said, "Good Luck." That was just wrong and mean, what if she had a heart attack afterward, I mean talk about being mean!

Yes, they keep "Skippy", but they changed his name to Stitch.

AE & SGE are definitely "love 'em or hate 'em" attractions. You never see any in-between comments.

My family & I absolutely hated both. We didn't see anything interesting or entertaining about either. Neither seem very Disney-like - nothing magical or special. Both were/are boring & ridiculous. I couldn't believe it when they replaced AE with a 'like' attraction, but since some people seem to love them, I guess that's why.

We tried AE twice to give it a fair shot, but no one would try Stitch twice. :crazy2:

I was disappointed it AE. It had great potential but because they put some corny comedy in the show it kind of removed the atmosphere for me. There was a lot they could have done with it but I understand it could have traumatized little ones even more.
Stitch is kind of cute but pretty loosely scripted and there is to much darkness which worked better in AE.
