Alice "Through the Looking Glass" <sorry no idea where to put this> LOL

My daughter recently saw a small bit of Alice Through the Looking Glass movie and wants to see the rest of it. Before we sit down and watch it, for those that saw it, did you find you needed to see Alice in Wonderland first? (the Johnny Depp version, not the cartoon version). My daughter has only seen the cartoon version so far.

There is a forum for Movies and such. It's towards the bottom of the list.

I would not say that it is crucial to see the first one, though If she likes the second one, the first is actually much better. Story-wise though they are not really related other than you should know that Alice has been to Wonderland before and stuff happened.
