Alice Tea Party at the GF

My DD will be just turned 11 when we go to WDW. She really wanted to do the Alice Tea Party at the GF, but it states that is is for 4 - 10 year olds.

Could she go to this event, or is there something similar for her age?

We emailed Disney about this and they just sent me a list of ride restrictions for all the parks!

In my experience the Tea is attended by a majority of "younger" kids. Seems to be most in the 6-9 yr old range. How would your DD feel with that age group?

My older DD loves to attend the Tea at the GF in the Gardenview Lounge. She has been doing that since she was 10 and she is now almost 15. No real "fun" kid oriented things ... but it is lovely. She can have a special tea ... chocolate milk or hot chocolate!

I just wanted to give you some info, you can make the decision depending on the maturity level/desires of your DD. Have fun!

Where do you find out information about the tea with Alice. I am taking my two nieces (6 and 4) in January 2005 and would love to find out about it. Do you need to stay at GF - we'll be at the Boardwalk.

The Tea Party is held m-f from 1:30-2:30 at the Grand Floridian and IIRC its about $29.00. My girls went last year at 6yo and 8yo and to tell the truth my 8yo was one of the oldest and probably would not feel comfortable going again. For the 10yo - perhaps the regular tea with mom would be a better option.
