Alice In Wonderland Theme???

I'm not getting married in Disney, but I would love to have an Alice In Wonderland theme to my wedding. Only problem is my fiance is totally against bright, whimsical wedding colors. We settled on chocolate brown and ivory with hints of light pink and sage green.

So my question is does anyone have any ideas for a subtle or more sophisticated way to incorporate my theme with our colors? I'm at a loss here!

I bet you could do cute centerpieces in tea cups of different colors, and/or have paper lanterns strung up. What else... serve tea food, like finger sandwiches and tarts and, uh, crumpets! Your favors could be little cordials with tags that say "Drink me," and the place cards could be playing cards.

Now I just gotta figure out a classy way to work in the flamingo croquet and the walrus...

I just wanted to thank you all for your ideas. I hadn't thought of tea cup/pot centerpieces and I think it will be a great idea! And it is always nice to see what other people have done with the same theme!

I'm offering you no help at all, but I just have to say I love the theme! Please post pictures of what you are doing--it sounds so different and pretty!
