I have signed up my DD for this on her 7th birthday and I wonder if I should include my son (5)? Has anyone's son done this?

We booked him in the cooking class one day, the tea party another and the pirate cruise the next. He loved them all. He came out of the tea party singing silly songs and talking about chatting with the Mad Hatter. I think he had lots of fun. HTH

There were litte boys there when my DD went this past year. They all had fun. The tea party is pretty but I don't think it was "girly" once the parents left. They decorated cupcakes and all kinds of fun stuff. Your son might feel left out when DD comes back talking about the stuff she got to do at the party.

I would !!

It didn't seem to be geared towared girls but they did outnumber the boys. If your children are close it may be nice for them to share this with each other. There were several boys when my dd's went and they didn't seem out of place at all.

My son went with his younger sister when she was 4 and he was 8. He enjoyed it and it made for a more relaxing time for my dd

My daughter just went a couple weeks ago and loved it. There were a couple girls (twins) that had on the Alice dress and shoes (available in the GF giftshop for $95 each!!!! :confused3 ) but most were dressed casual. They had a bowl of grapes for throwing at the Mad Hatter and they played games and decorated their cupcake and got to eat it first before the rest of their lunch!! I think either a boy or girl would enjoy it. :flower:

Make your own Alice dress....material, notions less then $11.00.

My youngest will be attending in December.

Well, when I was talking to the IPO at GF last week, she strongly recommended that I have my son join his younger sister for the party. They definitely cater to boys too.

My ds did the Tea Party with his sisters at age 4 and 5 and loved it! He thinks the Mad Hatter is the best thing. The girls went on the Pirate Cruise with him and they all did the Grand Adventures in Cooking. There were boys and girls at all three events and none of the kids ever felt out of place.

has anyone went where the child would not stay unless you stayed... I hope my little girl will stay.. but I don't know.. has anyone else ever experienced this?

My 3 year old is scheduled to attend with my 2 older daughters and his cousin. He needs to be potty trained and he is kinda close- we go in a month but would feel better if he could wear a pull-up. Anyone else had a kiddo go to it in pull-ups? I know that they said no pull-ups but he will be almost 3-1/2 when we go so I am hopeful he will be OK but with all the excitement he could forget.

Also- is it an hour or 1-1/2 hours?

The tea party is an hour. I don't think I would send a child who isn't potty trained. If he has to go in the middle of the party there are only 3 CM's there with about 14 kids. It is pretty fast-paced.

As to a boy going, my youngest DS was 3 and he went with his older DS who was 8 last year. They loved it! Couldn't wait to show us the pictures and tell us all about the fun they had. Definitely let the boys join in!
