Never dined here before. How is the food? How is the service? What are the lunch hours? As this would be a solo meal on the dining plan, do you think the waiters would be less cordial? Being on the dining plan, I noticed pizza under the appetizers. Is this right? I'm a pretty basic, picky eater. How flexible are they with omiting certain items? What kind of desserts do they have? There are none listed on the menus area on WDWIG.

Thanks for your help!

Alfredo's is our favorite restaurant. The service has always been great and very friendly. They love asking if we're Italian and when we tell them we're Spanish, they attempt to speak to us in Spanish. It's a lot of fun. :rotfl: The food is so good. I've had the salad which has a raspberry vinaigrette and is so good. The fettucine alfredo is so rich and very good. But my absolute favorite is the pasta e fagioli which is a thick soup. It was so good! I was ready to run into the kitchen and steal the whole pot of soup. :sunny:

I can't remember what all of the desserts were. But I do remember there being a strawberry mousse shaped like a ladybug, tiramisu, a cannoli and I think there was chocolate mousse.

When we went there in January I noticed that the menu was different from the menu in October. I liked the new menu better. :)
The menu is different from the menu at allearsnet too.

Try it out for yourself if you are thinking of going. You will hear completely different opinions. DH and I have tried it back in 2000 and it was downright awful. We gave it another chance in 2004 and the food, service, and atmosphere were terrible. They should pay me to eat there.
So you see..everyone is different...I think they are much better Epcot WS options imho.

We love it...or at least my wife loves Gesseppie the Matrade'(sp).

We eat her all the time. Most people get turned off from this place becuase the think Italian food is Olive Garden or Chef Boy RD. Not the true food that is served here.

Again we love.

we love alfredos. our favorite is the homemade fetticine alfredo. as for desserts they have tiramisu, chocolate mousse, cannoli, etc.

We were on the dining plan and ate at sit downs every day pretty much. At Alfredos we were able to walk in for lunch this past October, and I understand why because the food was awful, just the worse we had the whole trip. I ordered a muchroom pizza and got a pizza with canned muchrooms on it which looked to me like they were just dumped on top as an afterthought. The pizza at the Pop was better! My bf got some sort of pasta and thought it was okay but then our service was awful. Perhaps because we were able to walk in but our server really rushed us. I have actually never felt so rushed before, it was just strange!

That being said I also had bad food at 50's Prime Time, but plan to go back one day and try our luck again because so many people love the place. But I will never go back to Alfredo's!

It must really just depend. I had tons of table service meals on my trip this past December, and Alfredo's was my second favorite! The food was very good, but the waiters were awesome! I was kind of nervous about dining there solo, and my waiter allerted the other waiters about it. Anytime a waiter passed my table by, they would say hello or stop and chat, even though it was a busy dinner time! What a great, fun meal! :teeth:

Fabulous restaurant ... DW is from a large Italian family in South Philly and loves it as well. Considering she is particular about her food this is a large vote of confidence.

The staff is great ... DW enjoys teaching the kids how to speak Italian to them. When we were there last September the staff was so nice and walked my DD around showing her the restaurant.

Try it out ... I know you will love it.

We just dined here for the first time and LOVED it!! I agree that the Alfredo was awesome as was the tirimusu. We loved the servers and it was so romantic when they all sang. We reccommend it and weren't sure when we booked our ADR's either. Try it for yourself!

LIke everyone has said it can vary. We ate there a couple of years ago and loved it. This year we both got food posioning and were sick for 2 days. :pug:

wow, that is quite an awful thing to happen...especially on the magic vacation...hope you still had fun...oh, and I just cancelled our reservation :rotfl2:

It's our favorite WDW restaurant of all time. We've eaten at 'Fredo's every trip from the time Epcot opened. DD says it's her favorite restaurant ever(WDW and the "real world"). :earsboy:
