Going to get one for Easter dinner, but I've never had either one so I'm looking for some opinions... Aldi or Walmart (Sams Choice - in purple foil)... which is better?

We buy the Sam's in purple foil a lot and really like them. Haven't had a bad one yet. We don't have Aldi's here.

We really like Aldi's! We tried the Sams club one at Christmas and thought Aldi was better. Could have just been that one, though.

If you buy an inexpensive ham make your own glaze with brown sugar, spices and orange juice and it will be just as yummy as a Honey Baked ham.

Never had a Walmart ham, We always get the Aldi spiral sliced ham, LOVE them.
I simply poor about 20oz of 7up over it, then pack it in brown sugar, heat in the oven at whatever the directions say on the tag (20 min per pound at 300?, can't remember)
Every one in my family and the wife's family love it.

I vote ALdi.

I will not buy any WalMart meats. When you read the labels you will see that they are generally "Enhanced with X% solution" where the "X" can be anywhere from six to 11 percent. This basically means that water and chemicals are put in it to (a) make it look better, and (b) increase the selling weight.

We buy our spiral hams from Schwan's - they are delicious! Also, you can save $5.00 until 4/3.

We have to watch hubby's sodium intake and I'm having issues finding meat that does not have a sodium solution added. I am finding it at pretty much all the stores we have (Kroger, Meijer, Martin's, etc.). I think I'm going to have to go to the farm market and see if I can buy it from their butcher.
