I'm usually a big fan of Sears brand powdered HE laundry detergent. However, I'm nearly out and I just missed one of their 1/2 off sales.

I was at Aldi this weekend, and was looking at the Tandil brand liquid laundry detergent. (Bottle says compare to Tide.) They had both the regular kind, and the HE. A big bottle (64 loads) was only $5.99...so less than a dime a load.

Has anyone tried it, and do you like it?

I use the blue bottle with the orange lid. No idea the name. It works great. It is not for an HE washer to the best of my knowledge though.

I use Sear detergent too , but I have a top loader machine. I keep a bottle of the Aldi brand for pretreating and if I run out. I also like Arm and Hammer brand.

It also comes in a HE variety...the bottle is dark orange and the lid is silver.

You can make your own detergent for less than that.

Thanks, but no thanks. :) I work full time, so in this case my time is more important to me than saving a few bucks a year by making homemade laundry detergent. When I can catch the Sears detergent on sale at 50% off, it is less than 7 cents a load. Unfortunately, I missed the sale last week, and probably don't have enough to last until I goes on sale again.

Has anyone tried the Aldi liquid HE detergent?
