It's on sale! Dangerous!

What is cookie butter? Just got back from Aldi's but didn't see anything like that so what section would it be in? Sounds yummy

It's like PB or Nutella in texture. With a kind of fall spiced cookie taste. I'm going to use it as a layer in my apple pie if there is any left from my kids eating it with a spoon!
It was in a shopping cart near check out buried with a bunch of other clearanced products. Including Indian bread mix for .50. They are clearing out stuff to make room for seasonal I would guess.

I haven't had Aldi's version but I bet it's basically like Biscoff Spread (which is delicious btw). I make a Biscoff icebox cheesecake around the holidays, using the spread and the cookies, which is great because it's not super sweet but it's a nice flavor. I can eat Biscoff spread by the spoonful too it's that good!

I've never heard of cookie butter. Darn I was just at Aldi yesterday! Next time I'll look for it. I did notice the cost of regular butter is going back up. :crazy2:

Trader Joe's put cookie butter on the map. My guess is the Aldi version is the same product, which means I'm heading to Aldi ... stat.

I believe Aldis is own my Trader Joes parent company. I've heard about the cookie butter at Trader Joes but there isn't one close to us. I will be looking for this at Aldis

the heads of Trader Joe's & Aldi are brothers. It's not unusual for them to have the same product with different packaging.

I just googled it because I was curious about it, and apparently it's just that. I had no idea they had it in the US as I have only seen this in the Netherlands, with yet another name, Speculoos. But it's exactly the same as Biscoff. It is very good, just like the cookie!

The cake is a great idea, I'm going to try making something similar, thanks for sharing that!

Nice, I didn't know they sold it under different names! Hope your cake turns out well, it's a big hit in our house!

We have Speculoos in the US - it's what Trader Joe's sells. It's not exactly the same as Biscoff, but fairly similar. It's fairly hard to find Speculoos cookies here but I've seen them at Aldi.

I found this at my Aldi last Friday, only it was $1.99, and bought it because we love TJ's cookie butter. I found that it has the same flavor as TJ's, but it is grainy and TJ's is not. Still a good deal for the price.

Thanks for the review. Couldn't find it at our Aldi's. I had to console myself with the chocolate covered toffee pretzels :rolleyes1
