Now that Crystal Palace and The Plaza are now serving alcohol, what are odds they add alcohol option to HEA dessert parties?

When they raised the prices recently for parties after 5/28, they said it is because a menu change was coming but they couldn’t tell us what. I haven’t heard any announcements as yet but maybe it is/will be alcohol?

What?! CP & Plaza serves alcohol now? Wow, im so out of the loop! When did this happen? Im surprised at the news, but at the same time not really....since BOG served alcohol it was just a matter of time.

What type of alcohol? Same as BOG?

I'm not sure if its the same but the menu looked pretty long for the different types of drinks, which is nice that they offer SOMETHING lol

I hope zero because I don't want to pay more for something we won't consume! I think they had to add alcohol at the TS's to accommodate the new alcohol inclusion in the DDP? If that's the case, then here's hoping alcohol won't be added to the dessert party!

I mean they did already raise prices and some of the other dessert parties do include alcohol so I would hope that they would consider doing it. Would definitely be a nice bonus!

My question is ..............

QSDP now includes an alcoholic beverage. If our all adult party can not get that drink at the QS locations in MK, then my dining plan value has been substantially reduced. Since this was a rumble quite awhile ago ..... I would not be surprised. Not needed at kiosks but since it is part of the QSDP, it should be offered at QS.

That's what I'm hoping happens. I don't "need" alcohol, but it being included and adding extra value to the DDP is nice.

3) But, if one does not need it, why even order it on a "family park day"?
Why not? What difference does it make if I choose to drink a soda or a mimosa with my breakfast, especially while on vacation? Plus like I said, it does add a little extra value to the dining plan, so why not indulge?

1) As I said, I am just an old Fuddy-Duddy.
2) I like the idea of at least ONE park being booze-free.
3) Yes, others have differing opinions.
4) I can't change things, but can certainly vent my thought(s).

I am certainly hopeful that they will start serving alcohol, without raising prices of course :-) Given that they currently charge about the same as the dessert parties that do service adult beverages, it would make sense to add it in MK. Of course that means it may not make fiscal sense to Disney without raising prices, so who the heck knows that they are going to do. In the meantime I'll be up in the California Grill enjoying some wine and a signature meal with my fireworks, while Disney contemplates how they want to handle this one :drinking1
