So I know they don't serve alcohol in MK... so I'm assuming this is also the case for Mickey's Halloween party? Are you allowed to bring your own in if it's not glass? TIA...

No alcohol will be sold, and it is against the rules to bring it in with you, no matter what it's stored in.

The only way you're going to get any in the park is if you have dinner at Be Our Guest, and even there you can't take it outside.

May I suggest the bar at the Wave for pre-party libations? you will need to finish them before you enter the MK.

Thanks...just wondering. Maybe my hubby and I will just plan to have a pre-party drink in our villa :)

So Be Our Guest has no outside area where you can enjoy a beer? I understand not walking thru MK with a drink, but I'd like to see a fenced in terrace where you can have an adult beverage.

Nope, it is not a bar. You must be seated having a meal and those reservations are near impossible to come by! :lmao:

Not that I encourage breaking the rules but I heard a rumor in these boards the other day that filling your refillable mug (or other non obviously alcoholic container) with alcohol and bringing it to the park is a non allowed but feasible option

Sorry, but no. BoG has no outdoor patio or seating area at all. If you want wine or beer at Be Our Guest you must be seated inside the restaurant at dinner (the alcoholic beverages are not offered at lunch). You must also consume the drink while inside the restaurant...you won't be allowed to leave with it.

No alcohol in the MK except inside BOG. There is no reason to break the rules, as there are plenty of other places in WDW to enjoy a drink.

AKK

actually they DO serve alcohol in MK.
you can get beer, wine, or champagne in BOG.

no of course you cannot bring alcohol in.
in my opinion if you feel the need to drink then stay home instead of going to MNSSHP.

Here's what I see all the time. The OP merely asked if it was possible to get alcoholic beverages at MNSSHP. She was told no. She said that's cool, we'll have a drink in the room before we go. She didn't even say "gosh that sucks, you should be able to get a drink." And somebody comes in here and says "if you feel the need to drink then stay home." Where did that come from, was that even necessary?

Sounds like the beer tent at your local carnival. I believe I read that is the exact atmosphere Walt was steering away from when creating WDL.

I dream of the days of being able to get a drink at MK. Some people go for the dole whips or mickey ice cream bars, I would much rather prefer a nice cold beer. Maybe that's why we spend so much time in Epcot? :drinking1

lots of folks are touchy about alcohol for a variety of reasons.

It's a flammable subject. (pun intended!)

Because withholding judgment would require self control. :badpc:

I often think the temptation to lecture and finger wag is too hard to resist for some. OP's question didn't need editorializing, imo.

To me it sounds like Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Downtown Disney and Disney California Adventure.:confused3 Did I miss one?

It will happen. Once people get used to alcohol in one restaurant, they will expand it and then eventually they will serve alcohol throughout the park - as it should be. :thumbsup2

If all of us who drank alcohol stayed home...then Epcot would have to have a food and juice festival.

Try Animal Kingdom, you can actually get a shot of rum in that Dole Whip
