For anyone that may be interested - here is a link to my photobook - finally finished it last night - decided against adding all my journal, basically my TR edited and reformatted - when I formatted it, it was an extra 22 pages and I had trouble adding it -so I printed it out and will keep it, but noone else is probably interested in reading it.

Be warned its 150pages - :scared1: cost $142 will report on print quality when I get it back - there is 400 or so photos so I figure its comparable to getting them printed at 20c each and buying a nice album or two to put them in.

Click on the icon in the reply page with the "world and link" and you should be able to past it in

That is really really strange. Well if you don't mind, I might PM you with my email address and have you try to email it to me. I'd love to see.

Battymum it worked for me! :cool1: I put dub dub dub dot bit.ly / wwkfwH
(with no spaces) like you said and I could see it. I haven't had a chance to look at the whole thing yet but it looks wonderful :thumbsup2

I managed to see it following Travel Mum's advice..

GORGEOUS! You have some amazing photos and I love the flow of the book. It will be a fantastic memento. You have really done a great job:cool1:

Fantastic photos! A great momento of your holiday. You have inspired me to do the same for our last two trips and next one! :)
There is a blank page, pg 117?

Doh - I had intentionally left some blank pages as I was going to put my TR/journal in - I decided against it and went back and filled those pages - must have missed one. Too late now its been sent to print.

BTW - Albumworks was a fair bit cheaper than Momento - as I research EVERYTHING I do, I read some good reviews so decided to give them a go. I have used Momento before for a book I did for my parents 50th wedding anniversary - I will let you know how they compare.

Battymum - love love loved the book. The photos are excellent, I especially love your night images from WDW. Did you run something special over them in photoshop? They have an extra something that really makes the look amazing.

I too love the flow of the book and felt I was right along there with you. I thought you did some beautiful scenery shots that give the viewer a real insight into the experience.

Well done, love it.

I love it! Let us know how the print quality is. I need to do something with my photos.

I have booked a tour on St Marteen with Bernards as well. So were they as good as the reviews? Was it easy to find them etc? Did you swim at Maho or just watch the planes?

I haven't anything booked for St Thomas/St John either, I was thinking of winging it but after re-reading you TR I am thinking I should book something. I was just thinking of hailing a cab to Magens Bay. Let me know what you think.

Bernards tour was fantastic - easy to find as you get off the ship - we swam at Maho it was beautiful - but there wasnt much beach so to speak - it was basically straight off the rocks - maybe it was the tide, and there had been recent storms that had washed a lot of beach away -I dont know how your little ones would go. Mum or Dad will have to go in too! We were supposed to have more beach time at Orient but it was quite windy that side and there was a lot of seaweed, it wasnt nice at all.

We were also carrying our passports and the camera that we didnt want to leave unattended so had to take turns in swimming.

St Thomas was very hectic, for me its so much better if you have a plan - we ended up getting a taxi and going to Magens which was pretty nice - we stopped first in the market area for a bit of a walk around - it was really hot so we had no energy for exploring.

If we are still on for the dismeet on Saturday I will bring the album if I have it by then.

Shuttergirl,

Thank-you - as for the nighttime shots - I ran them through lightroom for sharpness and blacks and noise reduction - the lens I was using was f1.7 but for some reason I didnt have it set that wide, so they could have been better. For the castle fireworks shots I was using my sons head as my tripod :thumbsup2

Sometimes I think I spent so much time fussing with the camera, rather than just "living it", I actually dont have much recollection of the fireworks - but looking back now there are days where I wish I had taken more photos.

I also made my kids stand in front of everything and found when putting the book together I would rather them not be in a lot of the pictures with their bored faces, they would not make good models. :rolleyes1

I think I learnt a lot for next time!!!

WOW, that is awesome!

The nighttime shots of POP are just amazing, so are the fireworks. I think my favourite photo is on page 31, the nighttime one of the bunch of balloons.

Love the page of towel animals from the cruise, the New York photos are amazing too (cracked up at the cowboy in Times Square, wish I'd seen him  ) Loved the luggage lined up to go home :rotfl:

Just a beautiful memory for your family, thanks for sharing it with us :goodvibes

:thumbsup2  your photo book it was fantastic must say i am a bit blonde and it took me half the day to work out how to look at it:rotfl:

Thanks guys,

Aussietravellers I've had a couple of people say that is their favourite photo! How come all I can see is how it could be better!:confused3 But yeah I like it too.
Those characters in TS were kinda creepy - well the cowboy was OK and there was a girl too, but Elmo and Woody def creeped me out. We had just arrived from WDW and I sort of thought they were from the Disney store, and the kids quickly had photos, then I realised how chatty their costumes were and they were expecting tips - again I fussed with the camera, I dont know if DH gave them any. But the more I think about it, I wonder if they regulate who turns up in a costume and poses for photos with kids.

WAMUMOF4 - dont worry I'm surprised any of you made the effort to try and see it, and thanks by the way. :thumbsup2 I dont know why it wouldnt let me post a direct link.:confused3

My book just turned up!! :cool1:

First impressions are good - I ordered the cover in red faux leather, looks good, quite a dark red, had it engraved but could only use 25 characters - Our USA Holiday - 2011 - this is gold but could be a little brighter. I

Paper is quite nice - I dont have the momento book at hand so cant do a direct comparison -

I think the photos look a little better on screen - when they are back lit - On the first page one of the photos is quite blown out - the one of the giant playdoh - I will have a look at the original photo and see if its worth a complaint.

There are some pages where I put the photos a little too close to the edge of the page and the white border has been cut off - thats my fault, not theirs and the book doesnt fold flat so I put photos too close to the centre of the book.

But all in all I am pretty happy with it - its a great memory of our trip.
