Madonna - Like a Virgin

Cyndi Lauper - She's So Unusual

The Partridge Family Album

Donna Summer - On The Radio

Styx - Paradise Theatre

Star Wars Soundtrack

I tended to buy the "Greatest Hits" albums when they came out as I got more bang for the few bucks I had, as I then liked all the songs on them. So I'd include:

Diana Ross
The Monkees
David Bowie
Linda Ronstadt
Simon & Garfunkel
The Beatles

Utopia Parkway -Fountains of Wayne (By far my favorite to do this with - I grew up on Utopia Parkway and they nailed it)
The Who - Quadrophenia (Didn't grow up in Brighton but fairly confident they nailed this as well - Not to mention its a litttle more exciting then growing up on Utopia Parkway)
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Pet Sounds - Beach Boys
My Aim is True - Elvis Costello
Bridge Over Troubled Water _Simon and Garfunkel
Blood on the Tracks - Bob Dylan
Valley Girl Soundtrack
The Queen is Dead - The Smiths
The Harder They Come - Soundtrack
Sugar Tax - OMD
Ella and Louis - Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong
The Rise and Fall of Zigggy Stardust - Bowie

There are many, but the first that comes to mind is Sarah McLachlan’s Fumbling Towards Ecstasy. I can still listen to that one start to finish over and over.

Carole King- Taperesty
Grease Sound Track
U2- Joshua Tree
Dirty Dancing Soundtrack
Sarah Mclachlan- Mirrorball
Wicked Cast Cast Recording

Wow. No one's mentioned Born to Run yet. That entire album is perfection as far as I'm concerned. Another great one is After the Gold Rush by Neil Young. Back in the day we listened to album sides, and these two were prominently in my rotation because I could listen to everything without wishing a particular song was over. LOL.

I would have added Born to Run but his ballads are torturous for me to listen to. Too whiny. Bruce is a rocker and that’s what he does best.

Meet the Beatles
Rubber Soul
Abbey Road
Grease ST
Saturday Night Fever ST
Elton John's Greatest Hits Vol II (first album I ever had)

Born In The USA - Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band
Hotel California - The Eagles
No Jacket Required - Phil Collins
Damn The Torpedoes -Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers

Pearl Jam - Ten
Guns N Rose's- Appetite for Destruction
Aerosmith - Pump

Those were the first 3 I thought of......

Some already mentioned...

Crowded House - Crowded House
Oasis - What's the Story, Morning Glory
Sting - Mercury Falling
Donald Fagen - Kamakiriad
