Albatross Cruise sold out....:(

I called today to book the Albatross Treasure Cruise for my daughter and it was all sold out for Dec 7. Today is 90 days out. I never thought it would fill up within the first few hours. I also asked about the Grand Floridian cruise during our stay and was told they were also all sold out. Could this be true?

My daughter will be crushed. I told her about it thinking it could get the reservation. Anyone who is cancelling, could you let me know. Please!!!

That stinks, I've read that they do book up pretty quickly. Too bad you weren't going a few days earlier, I'm canceling the Pirate Cruise for 12/1.

I booked 90 days out for our trip at the end of October and there will plenty of spots available--and I called after 8am.! That is weird. Sorry you weren't able to get a ressie.

deeceesw: I am confuse. Do you call wdw-play or wdw-dine to book this cruise? I know wdw-dine opens at 7 am, but what time does wdw-play start answering the phone? Is it also 7 am?

Could this be an instance of people booking all their adr's at once and being able to schedule ahead of you? I hope not, because that would not be right. Can you try to call for another day during your trip?

Not the OP but I called earlier today at wdw-dine about getting the pirate cruise for the 15th of December. I will arrive at WDW on Dec 9 and I thought because I was able to get other adrs like the princess tea party that I could get the pirate cruise. The rep said that I'd have to call again on the 16th to reserve the pirate cruise. I hope we don't miss out on the cruise for my son!

Keep Trying !! I literally called every day from 90 days out... 2 days before we left, there was a cancellation so I got in... Did you know they added a second day? Wed. and Fri. so give that a try....

I had the GF-Pirate cruise booked up until I finally got the Albatross then I cancelled the GF.... From what I hear, they are very similar.....

I feel your frustration. I called 2 hours after the lines opened and the Albatross was booked up for Nov. 9th. Since then, I've been calling whenver I remember and there was a cancellation a few days ago and I got a spot for my DS. Now I need to get 2 more spots for his cousins. Half the time I call, I get a CM who has never heard of the Albatross cruise!

Keep trying, soon. Alot of people book everything they can as soon as they can and then trim the itinerary down. Then start calling just before, because alot of people will hold onto a ressie until the last second. In between give a call whenever you think of it.

Half the time I call, I get a CM who has never heard of the Albatross cruise!

The same thing happened to me the other day. The CM insisted there was no such thing. She put me on hold for 30 minutes and I was transferred to Recreation.

deeceesw: thanks for the info. I thought that the 1-800# was only for making resort reservations. Can I get through to wdw-dine or wdw-play through this #? I think I would rather talk to wdw-play sine they may be more aware of the cruise then wdw-dine

You can call the 800 number to access Disney Dining. I believe this is what I said in my last post...listen for the prompts. Again, I made my ressies through dining, not play, as did countless others. It's your choice. If you use the 800 number you are not paying long distance charges for the call, so it matters little if it takes them time to find it. An inexperienced CM will have dificulty finding anything, not just the cruise, so I think it has little to do with what number is acalled. Luck of the draw.
