I just made reservations for this for my 2 boys (who will be 6 & 8)...

The Bayside Marina near the Yacht Club also offers a special Albatross Treasure Cruise for children ages 4-10 -- Children will wear bandannas as they follow clues and sail to many exotic "ports of call" around Crescent Lake and Epcot looking for treasure. During the voyage, children will hear a reading of "The Legend of the Albatross." At the final port of call, children will have lunch of peanut butter and jelly sandwich, cookie, and juice box, and will split up the "buried treasure." Held Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Children must be potty trained -- no pull-ups. Price is $30 plus tax per child. Reservations are recommended. A credit card guarantee is required, and there is a 24-hour cancellation policy. Call 407-WDW-PLAY.

It sounds like fun! Anyone done this?

My two older kids are doing this - ds8, dd5. I think it is just going to be great for them!!! They are very independent, and especially because they have each other to go with - I don't have any concerns about them going. I'll let you know when we get back!

I booked this for our 3 youngest kids in October (DS12 is going along to "babysit" DSalmost4) I've read some good reviews :)

The information posted above is not correct. The cruises are for ages 4-12.

My DSs6 did this in June and LOVED it!:thumbsup2 They have already requested it for the next trip. They got tons of "treasures" and I got 2 hours of whine free shopping!:rotfl:

That's the next decision I'll have to make--what in the world DH and I should do while they're on the "cruise"! Oh, so many things to choose from!

I booked this cruise for our 2 DN's ages 4 and 7. The rest of us, 6 adults and 1 little guy (1 1/2yr old) are having breakfast at the Cape May Cafe -- can't wait to see all the bathing-beauties -- I've never seen the characters in their bathing suits!!!! :woohoo:

Ok, we just got back and did the Albatross cruise. It was cool! The kids had a great time. I have some funny pictures from it - if I could figure out how to post them I would!

I don't know if you'd have time to go anywhere while they are on it. It was probably 10:00am before they were off on the "pirate ship" and then we had to be ack to pick them up at 11:15am so it was only an hour or so that you ended up having to yourself. I got a latte at the yacht club, strolled around the boardwalk, sat and people watched.... had a nice relaxing hour to myself! =) You can walk into EPCOT from there. If you were quick - you could probably go into EPCOT and ride Soarin'..... =)

Oh and the kids on our cruise were probably aged 5 - 9. I know it says up to age 12, but I think a seventh grader would NOT think this was anything exciting...... more of a grade schooler age-appropriate event......IMHO.

Have fun!

I have read on earlier posts that there are pirate cruises from a number of different resoorts. Does anyone know of any other "ports" the crusies leave from. It seems like everyone talkes about the albatross - is this the best one???? My kids will be 4,5,6 on our Easter vacation and would love to book this - is it a 180 day out thing??
