Albany NY Airport

We are flying Southwest to MCO for our July trip. We live about 4 hrs away from Albany and need to stay overnight before our flight. Can anybody recomend a hotel near the airport? Thanks

There is a very nice Hilton Garden Inn within spitting distance of the airport. I think they also have a park and fly option wher eyou can leave your car in their lot for free for up to "x" days when you spend the night with them.

DH and I stayed there when we went to my class reunion a few years back, and DB and his family stayed there within the past few months and we all agreed it was a great place to stay.

You should look for hotels on Wolf Road. They are all a very easy drive to the airport...the furthest you can get would be about 10 minutes drive.

Along with the above suggestion, you could consider the Holiday Inn Turf, the Desmond (not on Wolf Road, but almost across the street from the airport), Suiss Chalet or the Hampton Inn.

have you thought about priceline. If you have never bid on priceline I would read www.biddingfortravel.com

Someone just bid a few weeks ago and go the Hampton Inn Albany Airport for $35 a night. Sounds like a bargain for a place just to rest your head. Hampton Inn is part of the Hilton brand.

The Suiss Chalet is a dump. The others mentioned are all fairly nice, although IMHO the Turf is showing it's age. The Desmond is expensive, but very nice.

They are all about 5-10 minutes from the airport. The Hilton Garden Inn I mentioned above is the closest hotel to the airport.
