Alaskan Cruise vs. Cruisetour

In '06 we did a 7 night RCI cruise Vancouver to Seward, then a 4 day land tour: bus to Anchorage, flight to Fairbanks (past Mount McKinley), paddleboat tour near Fairbanks, bus to Denali, train to Talkeetna, and then train to Anchorage for the flight home. The land portion of the trip really made it. I'd highly recommend such a tour, particularly if it includes a rail portion or two.
