Alaska Tastings?

I'm not seeing anything in "On Board Fun" - am I looking in the wrong place? I see Palo in Dining and everything in Port Adventures. The only thing in On Board Fun is things related to photographs.

It could be that they have all already been booked. I know on our sailing all the on board tastings were booked by the time I was able to select stuff as Silver.

That’s true, but I would at least thought they would be there and just show as “sold out”…because that’s what I saw for some of the port adventures.

Here is a secret (sort of). As soon as you board, they do hold back reservations for tastings. Ask where they are taking reservations for Palo and wait list for excursions and tastings. My wife heads to the spa to get the rain forest pass and I head to the restaurant/theater where they are holding wait list. They give you stuff first come/first served. I got on all the tastings that I wanted plus a Palo Brunch on a sea day.

They are only doing tastings on Sea Days on the 1st Alaskan cruise. So any day that has more than 6 items in the on-board fun section has tastings. As a lowly silver we were unable to get any tastings but I'll be checking as soon as I get to port for more. (plus at least weekly as we come to the cruise and more vigilantly after the 30 day PIF date.

I see them as sold out, but they are only available on Days 1, 2 and 7

Found it. Apparently I was looking on Dawes Glacier day...one would think there would be tastings then, but whatever. Yes, everything is sold out but Mixology on the last day, which I've done before and would not be nearly as entertaining without my 2 SILs. Thanks @TinkLoverSam. I will definitely try to get something when we get on the ship.
