Well we got a good scare/reality check yesterday!

Our girls are spending the week with friends and going to Vacation Bible School and hanging out. Well yesterday the mom took them to the park and her youngest daughter who is 5 fell off the monkey bars...they heard a pop...poor thing broke her arm right above the elbow and had to have surgery and have pins put in!! POOR POOR girl...I just keep thinking...OMG if it was one of my girls we would have been screwed. Today I am thankful I wrapped my kids in bubble wrap to send them back to their friends house and realize I only have 4 days to pack and NOTHING done!!

We are about halfway done getting our stuff together. I hope it all fits in the bags we want to take! We're taking a collapsible bag to bring back souvenirs. I'm a Sci-Fi fan and haven't seen Tron:Legacy, I am Number 4 or Mars needs Moms yet. Hopefully there will be a late showing for one of them.

So here we sit at the airport waiting to catch our first flight out what a hectic morning...don't ask.....

So we have 2 50 lb bags....2. 40 lb bags...and the carry on filled with just FE stuff ..another with cameras and a back pack ..sweatshirts and purse....ugh....what a load

We will be flying into Los Angeles....change flights to Alaska airlines...and arrive Canada 5:30 ...we will need two cabs with all our stuff

Only got a few magnets done...copier was having brain farts with the magnet paper...Tom did not get the special magnet done for you....but may hit up someone on here to bring it for me

Had to cancel one of our excursions in Whistler due to expected heavy rain ...it was the zip line optical course...hoping the weather will change and can redue it...anyway our plane just pulled up so I will touch base with u later...bye

Any thoughts on shorts? I was going to pack one pair might might just skip shorts all together. I'm sure my boys will bring shorts, and probably DH too, but I think I can easily get by without them. Think I'll regret not having a pair?

i think its better to have them and not need, than need and not have....

Hope that everyone has safe travels!! Our flight leaves on Sunday morning at 7am, so the alarm going off at like 3am to get out at like 4am is NOT going to be a pretty sight at the Schachtele household!!

lol our flight is around 1pm so we have to be at the airport at 11:45 to fly to dallas then we are there for like 5 hours! then we are off to Vancouver!

Safe travels!!!!!

We don't leave until late Sunday night. So far we have about 3/4 of the packing done. Ugh!!! We have soooo much stuff. 2-50lb suitcases, 3-40lb suitcases and 1 garment bag and this is just our checked luggage. Each of us will have a backpack or shoulder bag to bring on the plane as well. I just can't get it down one piece of luggage. There are 4 of us and I had to pack for 10 days and we are rewearing pants too

All these posts are making me feel better about my packing situation, I'm thinking we will have 4 checked bags between 3 of us and of course each have a carry-on

Safe travels to everyone, we head out from Minneapolis on Saturday morning.

We had our group over for pizza tonight.

I went double checked everything for them on the DCL website and printed out their Check-In Form for them.

We'll see them all when we get to Vancouver!!

We leave Sunday morning. Gonna drive around 9 hours to Eugene. Then drive the rest of the way on Monday.

And realizing that between my FE goodies and my Sail Away goodies for my personal group I have more luggage than I have for the DH and my clothes...

And, I also discovered that there was a MAJOR mixup on my reservation for our train ride in Skagway...
