Alaska Excursion questions (JU13) (SW66) we want GOOOLD

Hello everyone!

Off on the Wonder in September and we’ve just booked some of our excursions!

(Juneau) So, we originally wanted gold creek but it was sold out, so have pivoted to the gold mine (JU13) Has anyone done this in the last few years? How was it? Hoping it’s fun/not too kid oriented

Also (Skagway) - we have the WPR at 12:45 in Skagway - do we have to go back to the ship to meet for the excursion or is there an option to meet them at the station if we will already be in town?
Is the wonder currently docking on the side with the land slide or are they able to dock without the need for tendering?

Lastly- has anyone bought an Alaska gold nugget necklace or anything? What was your experience?

WPR - as per the current description, in our trip, the train is right at the pier.

As to whether you need to reboard the ship to meet up and sign in, talk with the Excursion desk when onboard. I know that doesn’t help with your planning over the next few months, though.

This September, Wonder is scheduled to dock at the ORE terminal. There are only 3 ships in Skagway those first two Thursdays in Sep - HAL and Discovery Princess. One is at Broadway Pier, the other at Railroad Dock.

Here we were docked. It’s not a long walk. I think this was probably the same pier you will use.
