Alaska Airlines Fare Decrease and Credit

I bought Alaska Airlines tickets in September, Seattle to Orlando, for travel 4/9 - 4/18. I paid 371.00 for 3 of them and 396.00 for the other two (older sons decided to join us after I purchased the first 3 tickets). Periodically I check fares and discovered last night this roundtrip had decreased to 274.00. I immediately called Alaska Air and she issued a credit for all 5 - just over a $500.00 savings. We planned to head to Phoenix in Feb anyway so will use this money towards that trip.

Possibly a fare war starting up? Flyers from the west coast who have already purchased tickets might want to check fares.
