Do you have to do this when you make the reservation to get the savings or just before you pick up the car? I have made a reservation for September, but am going to keep checking for better rates. I honestly don't recall getting an option to pay when I booked it online. If I can just prepay about a week ahead and still get the discount that would be great...especially if I can't find a better deal. Any thoughts?

You do not HAVE to prepay. If you do prepay they give you another percentage off. If you have to cancel last I knew they had a $5 penalty.

If you book a regular reservation they do not take a credit card, just printout your booking info. If the rate drops...rebook and cancel the old and there is no penalty.

There are discount codes floating around the site if you do a search. Bjs, walmart, costco, sams, aaa, etc.

I know that I do not have to prepay, I was thinking of doing it, to get the extra savings. Just wondered when I had to do it.
