Alamo .... What if you forget to cancel reservation?

Right now, I have 2 reservations with Alamo (same dates, 1 earlier pickup time than the other) :sunny:

The rates were really good, but having read that Alamo will increase the price of your confirmed reservation if you show up 1/2 hour ealier than reserved, I decided to re-do my reservation ::yes::

Has anyone had experience in what happens if you forget to cancel a reservation?

Unless you gave them your credit card info, I don't think anything could happen. Just make sure you give them the correct reservation number when checking in.

i cancelled 3reservations months before my last trip, using ALamo. When I went to pick up car last month, they said "you have 4 reservations for the same dates, which do you want to use??" in a rude voice. I said, "the LOWEST one, the one I just handed you the copy of......" I KNOW I cancelled the higher ones, next time I will bring confirmation of that.

So Far, I have made and cancelled approx. 6 reservations :rolleyes1

(the price keeps getting lower) :cool1:

I hope that I don't encounter a RUDE customer service person because of this :bitelip:

I will take all my cancellation confirmations with me so that I can prove that I did cancel previous reservations ::yes::

Last time (Feb 2006) I rented from Alamo we were given an economy car that sounded awful and drove even worse :confused3

We had driven to DTD to eat and by the time we left DTD the Alamo rental desk at WDW car care centre was closed, so we went back the following morning and explained that we didn't like the car we had been given as we felt unsafe :guilty:
