Alamo upgrade at counter?

Don't they sometimes have specials at the counter that you can upgrade to that's a good deal? Anybody ever done this?

The only consistent upgrade I've gotten - and it's happened every time - is from an Economy booking to a Compact at the lot. Not much, but I've appreciated it!
