This is not much and I am sure this has been posted.

I am leaving next week and paying attention to my rate at Alamo. If use the same rate codes, coupons etc, but choose the US as the country of residence, the price will drop. My pricing dropped about 14$ for an 8 day rental.

The problem is that when you show your ID and driver's license at the desk and they notice that you're not a US resident, they can void your rate and charge you whatever the going walk-up rate is.

Just like if you book a corporate rate (or government rate) at a hotel and don't have the paperwork to prove it, they can charge you rack rates.
