This may be a stupid question but here it goes anyway. I have a Chevrolet Uplander reserved at Alamo and from what I am reading about it the back row seats down't stow and go so there is limited space, well we will have a fair bit of luggage and were getting groceries so I need room. Will Alamo store the back row of seats there until I bring the Uplander back? I really need the room....

:confused3

I didn't call Alamo because you just get a big call center and they tend to not know anything so I thought I would ask here in the hopes that someone has done this and will know for a fact if this is possible or not.

I also have an Uplander booked for a March trip. If I'm renting a model I'm not familiar with, I go to a car dealership and ask to have a look at that vehicle. I recently looked at the Pontiac version of the Chevy Uplander and the 3rd row of seats did fold down nicely for extra luggage space. I would assume this is the same for the Chevy but to make sure just go to your local dealer and take a look.

Even though it says Uplander there are other models of minivans available. When we used Alamo in Novemeber we checked out quite a few different minivans until we picked one who had the layout we liked best.

FWIW, I rented a mini van YEARS ago..one of the old Chrysler products that look like a refrigerator laying on its side with wheels, and the rental company bolted the rear bench to the floor so it couldn't be removed.
I doubt they do that nowadays but you never know. I would ask for the phone number of the Alamo desk at MCO and call them directly.

I can tell you they will not store the seat for you. They don't even want them taken out! :confused3 I rented van from Nat'l, (here at home) Alamo's sister, and we took all the seats out and put them in our garage. Well we could not get one of the seats to go back into place, they didn't say much just that the seats are not supposed to be removed. Then why do they make removable seats???? :rotfl2:

I don't believe the Uplander has removable seats. Anyway, the 3rd row does fold flat. I would think it would be plenty of room. Here is a pic of how they fold. Both sides can go down.
