Alamo rental from MCO, return to Dolphin.

Hi, I have never rented a car before and I am planning on renting an SUV with Alamo at the Orlando airport at 4PM on 8/22 and returning it to the Dolphin at 1PM on 8/27. Is there anything special I need to know or be concerned about? Like I said, I've never rented a car before so I have no idea what to expect or what some pitfalls may be that I need to consider. Thanks!

We have rented and returned at the Dolphin. Their Alamo office closes at 4:00, but you can return your car after that by leaving it with the Dolphin's valet service.

I am always afraid of the car being damaged before the Alamo people get it. You can take pictures of its condition when you leave it in case you need to prove later that you brought it back undented! (We have never actually had that problem, but you never know...)

It is always more expensive to pick up a rental car at one location and return it at another location, in case you didn't know. Make sure that is your only option -- sometimes the price difference is significant.

This is not true!

Sometimes it is more expensive but often it's the exact same price and rarely less expensive. But it is a good idea to check just to make sure.

I am renting from MCO Alamo on 10/17 at 8:30 am, returning to Dolphin on 10/18 at 8:30am. Rate for me for the minivan (uuuugh) is cheaper than returning it to MCO.

I'm renting at WPalm and returning it to the Dolphin.....just about the same price as renting and returning to MCO.
