We're going to be renting a car from the airport once we arrive. We rented it through Costco. Has anyone rented one through Costco and went to MCO to pick up? How was your experience? TIA!
Did you book through Costco? I booked through Costco and was wondering if I can skip the counter because of thatI did it in April and it was a great experience. I downloaded the Alamo app and entered all the info so I could go straight to the garage and pick out my car.
How do you sign up through Alamo to skip the counter?I also booked through Costco and it was a great experience for me too. Be sure to sign up through Alamo to skip the counter. It was so easy. I agree to keep checking for lower rates.
You can download the Alamo app and create an account. Also here for skip the counter:How do you sign up through Alamo to skip the counter?
Thank you for the link! I was trying to download the app but it kept saying there was an error and to call customer service. I'll probably do that tomorrow. You can download the Alamo app and create an account. Also here for skip the counter:

I did. There's a Costco reservation number and an Alamo reservation number; so be careful which one you put in.Did you book through Costco? I booked through Costco and was wondering if I can skip the counter because of that
If you cannot get the app downloaded, just go to the Alamo website at the obvious address Alamo.com. There will be a Sign In or Join link in the upper right corner to create your Alamo account. Use that to link your reservation using the Alamo confirmation number included in the Costco confirmation email.Thank you for the link! BTW in Florida you now automatically have a free 2nd driver if it is your spouse at no additional charge on any rental with any rental company and you do not have to give their license info to Alamo. So the extra driver with Costco comes in handy if you have another travel companion or adult child you want to do any driving. You can also cut out the middle man and confusion of different reservation numbers by reserving directly through Alamo and put in the Costco Contract ID yourself on the reservation along with any valid cash, % off or free upgrade coupon code (can be used together, Google coupon codes). There is a place for it near the bottom where is says "add coupon" that you can enter Corp and coupon numbers. You will get the same rates and the same free additional driver. Always sign up for Alamo Insider and add your info ahead of time, as an insider and info on file you will always automatically have accelerated check in. You can skip lines with the kiosk.
If you have an American Express card, you can get full coverage insurance for one single cost of 24.95 per rental period. It is charged on your credit card only when you rent a car and pay with your American Express card. It is the same coverage you would pay 24.95+ A Day through Car Rental company Its great!. Call your AE card to find out the details. It is in place of your own car insurance for peace of mind to walk away if the car was totaled. I think reg credit cards cover a certain amount after insurance. Anyway something to look into if you are interested.
Chase Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, Ritz Carlton, Ink Preferred, Capital One Venture X and Spark cards all include primary car rental insurance. Most other cards are secondary, they will pay your deductible and any amount over what your personal insurance will pay. Usually it's $50,000 but it varies by card.If you have an American Express card, you can get full coverage insurance for one single cost of 24.95 per rental period.
