Alamo raises price

Just checked to see if i can get a lower price at alamo for week of may 13-23. Prices are up $300 for that week. Cars are in $700 range . Could Epic Universal be the culprit though that's not opening until May 22nd

There is very little rhyme or reason to rental car prices. You've got 10 days listed there. If you had a car from alamo for $400 for ten days, you have a very good deal. I'm paying about $400 for a week. Even $700 for ten days isn't too bad in the current climate in Orlando.

Rental car prices are all over the place the past couple years. If you find a reasonable deal far in advance, book it (not prepay, of course), and then continue to monitor prices. Sometimes you'll find something cheaper and you can book the cheaper and then cancel. Sometimes you got lucky with the first reservation and you don't find something cheaper. It's possible that indirectly Epic Universe is causing a bit more demand and could be a small part of the price increase. But most of the time there doesn't seem to be an obvious reason, at least in our experience.
