Hi all. I was getting tired  of checking for better prices with National and Alamo for our August trip so I went ahead and tried Priceline and got a compact for 12.00 a day for 8 days thru Alamo :cool1: . I have used Priceline in the past for hotels but never a car rental. I also signed up for Quick Silver thru work and am wondering how it works with Priceline. Do I go to the Quick Silver line at the counter or do I go straight the the cars? I read a post that Quick Silver members can go straight to the cars but since I paid thru Pricline I don't know if I can do that. Does anyone know how this would work? TIA for any help or info!

I guess I'm not supposed to mention Alamo's corporate membership club by name but that is what I'm referring to. Sorry if I did something I'm not supposed to do! :confused3 Maybe I fixed it now! :)

From what I have read over on www.flyertalk.com, if you book on a Priceline bid you can't use the rental car companies programs to skip the line. Basically you get to wait in line and not use the Quick Silver, EA, Hertz Gold and other programs...

All you can do is call Alamo and ask them to link it, but reported successes have been low.

We're going the same time and I used Priceline, got for $16 a day, a fullsize with National. Even if I have to face the line, I think it's worth the savings. I'd be curious to see if you can get any further info on the matter. ;)
