Alamo question - changing drivers? Booked by TA

We are renting a car in Hawaii for 10 days through Alamo. It was booked by our TA as part of a larger package. My name is the lead on the package reservations, including the rental car, however DH will be doing the driving. Anyone know if it will be an issue to switch the reservation to DH's name when we pick up the car? He'll be able to present his own driver's license and credit card. Our TA said we may have to add him as an additional driver for a fee, which I'd hate to pay unless we absolutely have to. Thanks for any help!

Think I would ask your TA first.
A call to Alamo would be my next call.

You may just be able to substitute his info at the counter or if you do the online check in. Both of these places are where you typically will add the drivers licence info and credit card info for the driver

Thanks. I did call Alamo and the woman said I should be able to change it at the desk, but she didn't sound very confident in her answer. We'll see! I looked at the online check-in and when I enter my confirmation number, it defaults to my name and asks for my license #. It's grayed out and won't permit me to modify it at this time. Guess I'll find out when I get there

Change the primary driver to DH or just add him? There's no doubt I can add DH as a second driver at the counter, but since I won't be driving, I'd like to avoid the $15 per day charge for an additional driver and just have the reservation changed to his name.

I added him, but I never paid an additional fee.

Alamo didn't used to involve a second driver fee. Now they do.

Op is there any way to see what the cost of this rental is so maybe you could rent separately from the package and cancel the TA rental?

Call your TA and tell them to fix it... that's what they get paid for!
