Is anyone else having problems with the alamo website? When trying to go to view reservation or online check in, I get an error message that says there is a problem accessing my reservation and gives a number to call. When I call, they say the reservation is intact. I really want to do online check in so that I can bypass the counter. I do have an alamo insiders number set up too
 
I've been trying to cancel a reservation since yesterday and I keep getting that same message, too.
 
I am having no problem looking up an existing reservation. Haven't tried online checkin though.
 
Same problem here too. There was a price drop so I rebooked my rezzie but I get that error message when I try to cancel the old rezzie. Must be a problem with there site, hopefully it gets resolved shortly.
 

I got the same message 2 days ago. My price dropped so I rebooked and then tried to cancel my original ressie. I decided to call and it was very easy....all automated system. I cancelled the old ressie in under 2 minutes.

I'm in the same boat as all of you. I also tried to call and the automated attendant could not help me. I was on hold to speak to a rep, but decided to hang up after I found out that I'm not the only one receiving the error message.
 
Still getting the same message today. But there is no problem with a new reservation attempt.

Is this ever going to change? Anybody else have success with canceling a reservation via the automated system when they phone-in?
 
I called Alamo. They said because my reservation was made through Orbitz ( was actually made through carrentalsavers...are they affiliated?), that my reservation cannot be viewed in their website and no online check in would be available. I tried to explain that I used to be able to view this online and questioned whether this was a new change. But she basically told me that I never could have seen this. Not really impressed with their customer service right now. Not sure how many others booked through a third party but maybe this is the problem

If you get call and get an answer, let us know. I am skeptical because I have been given different answers. Originally, the guy said it was a website upgrade. Now they are saying it is due to 3rd party, but clearly that is not necessarily the case either as you are affected too. Good luck!
 
This is what I have personally discovered. I can book ressies with no problem, I can view, modify & cancel any reservation made on Alamo.com with no problem. I tried to pull up and cancel a reservation I made for Alamo, but on the Costco website, and it will not pull up on Alamo. I apparently will have to cancel through the Costco website.

This may be the problem, but I do not see any place on Costco website (under travel/rental cars) that says view/cancel reservation. Where do you go on the Costco site to do that?

But actually, I made my reservation on the Alamo website.

This is the case. You can't change or cancel a Costco reservation on the Alamo website. You have to do it through Costco, it has always been this way for as long as I can remember.

I can pull Costco reservations up on Alamo.com with no problem. Though they have an error message that you can't cancel or modify them. Cancelling on Costco is very easy.
 
I cannot find a tab (or anything) anywhere on the Costco website where you can cancel a car reservation.

Can you please point it out?

Log in.
Go to My Account
Your reservations will show.
Click on the one you want to cancel.
There will be a button at the top and the bottom of the reservation page to be able to cancel it. Either one works.
 
I made a reservation through the Alamo website and have not been able to view/modify it for the reason listed by OP for several days now - so frustrating. I will probably just email them to have it cancelled. Wish they would get it together. :headache:
