Alamo online check-in with additional driver?

Am I correct in thinking that I can't use online check-in with Alamo car rental , if I need to add my spouse as an additional driver , or is there a place online when you check-in to enter their drivers license information at that time ?

Nope. I had to have my dh there, in person, in order to add him.

I added DH for my costco alamo early checkin. There was a link for it and everything. I've never done this before, so maybe it's new, or maybe it was for the LAX location (not MCO, never tried it).

We always use costco, check in online for Alamo, and go straight to the car. There must be a way to add him during online checkin and skip the counter; I seem to remember chasing him down for his DL # when I was online, then we just gave them his DL with mine at the checkout booth.

I tried to add my dh last month....I was told he had to be there, in person, with ID in hand. But, that may have just been a cranky employee!!!

last several times I rented from Alamo (national enterprise)

if the additional driver was on my insurance there was nothing to sign .......

If you have an Alamo Insiders account, log-in and then do the online check-in.
After your drivers licence info, there is a link to add an additional driver. Add your wife's info here. (it's 10.99/day unless you have a corp code that gives second driver for free...like Costco or BJ's)
When you complete the online check-in, there is now the option to go directly to the vehicle (skip the counter). If you want to do this (recommended) add your credit card info here and then print the paperwork. When you arrive, just go straight out to the garage, pick a vehicle from the aisle that you reserved, load up and drive to the gate, show the attendant the paperwork (they usually verify your CC and DL's) and you are on your way.

Just did this myself, leaving for the magic at 6:00am tommorrow
