Alamo no credit card

Went to online check in yesterday with Alamo, and it asked for credit card in main driver's name. The credit card is in my name and my DH is the driver. Looked on the website and it looks like Alamo accepts Debit cards as long as I have proof of a round trip. Has anyone used a debit card with Alamo as starting to panic

we was with alamo last year and will be this year - my partner does the driving and has no credit card, he used his debit and no questions where asked. easy transaction -

We also used a debit card with them in Nov. not a problem!

I'm paying for our car rental with my debit card my wife is the main driver will they need to take a security swipe of her cc or mine .

Im Confused ha ha

Last question I can't remember what petrol we put in the last car we had in Orlando or if we actually filled it are the cars all petrol or deisel?

Is it the same with Budget? We're picking up our car at MCO from Budget, but we don't have a CC. Just can't help but to worry that they might not take our debit card...

most european CCs will be treated as debit card when used in the US

Il you have a Visa or Mastercard there is no problem whatsoever.

When renting in the U.S., debit and check cards may only be used in conjunction with proof of a round trip travel ticket at time of rental.

A debit/check card is considered to be any non-credit card bearing the VISA, MasterCard or Discover Card logo.

Any other non-credit card without the VISA, MasterCard or Discover Card logo is not accepted.

Alamo have sent me an email confirming their policy that debit cards are fine for a round trip, must be in lead drivers name though, if anyone wants a copy of this email to take with them just let me know x
