Has anyone stayed at these two motels before? How is the walk to the resort? Rooms? We typically only sleep in the rooms and spend the days at the resort so we do not need anything super fancy. I would rather spend my money on things in the park. Thanks!

We stayed at the Eden Roc over 20yrs ago and it was a low budget hotel then. I would not stay there. There are so many other choices near Disneyland that are cheaper or close to what you probably would pay there. I hear Anaheim Plaza is decent and they have pretty low prices. :)

We stayed at the eden roc in November. All i can say is that its cheap and close to the parks. We are staying there in September. Cheapest place we found walking distance

I am with someone above, I world pay the extra couple bucks a night and stay at Anaheim Plaza, I changed hotels after booking with Eden Roc, getting there and looking at the room, I wouldn't stay there.

I've not stayed there, but my hotel of choice is right across the street (Best Western Stovall's), so the walk would be the same: about 15 minutes from hotel to Park turnstiles. That's using the shortcut up Disneyland Drive, through the GC lobby & DTD, across the esplanade to the front gates. You can also take the ART bus from right in front of the restaurant on the corner where the hotel is.

Have you read the Eden Roc TripAdvisor reviews?? If not *here* they are.

And *these* are the TripAdvisor reviews for the Alamo Inn *I think we stayed here back in March of 2006 if so I'd never stay there again!

I ended up booking the Desert Inn for $69 a night :) I hope it is good enough for sleeping. Thanks for the comments! :goodvibes

I stayed at the Alpine Inn my last trip and it worked out just fine, nothing fancy though. 7-11 right on the corner going to DL.

I haven't stayed at the Eden Roc, but I have a relative who did. She said it was dirty and depressing and she would never stay there again. And she prides herself on being very frugal and being able to stay anywhere!

I just stayed at Eden Rock back in June. I will tell you I will never stay there again even for a buy one night get one night free promotion. I chose it 'cause I got it on internet special for $39. Um, yeah I can't even say as cheap as that was it was worth it. It was so gross. Dirty and the bathroom was SO small. You could barely close the bathroom door when you walked into the bathroom. The tiles were broken in the bathroom and the tub was dirty. The front door was SUPER thin. It had 3 locks on it *which should have told me something in the first place* The blinds were not long enough to close all the way, so if you were a bypasser you could see through the window. The bedding wasen't changed. I know cause when I pulled back the blankets there was hair in the bed . As inviting as the low rate of the room is at Eden Rock don't do it MisPinUp.
