Alamo Inn and Suites?

I just found a really good deal for me and DH to go to DLR... next weekend!!! Anyway, it includes staying at the Alamo Inn and Suites. How is this place? We will have a car, so we don't have to be in walking distance, but it it a filthy dump? Or, is it cheap but clean? Anyone stayed there recently? Thanks!!

since we will have a car, maybe I can get a good deal on someplace further, but nicer. Anyone here have firsthand knowledge of Alamo?

scanmom, have you considered Anaheim Plaza? It's within walking distance, older but clean and they have very reasonable prices.

I tried HoJo's, and the Ent rate was the cheapest they had available at 154.00/nite!! This is a last minute, not-planned trip, and if I am going, we have to be on a VERY low budget. Our AP's expire on the 19th, so this will be my last chance for a low budget trip for awhile!

Have you tried Priceline? We stayed at the Holiday Inn on Manchester last weekend for $75.00. It was a nice place. The beds in our room were kind of old, but everything else was updated and they've got the best towels I've seen in a long time!
