Alamo Credit card hold

Hi Everyone - Getting ready to leave on Monday for my trip and had a question about Alamo -- do they only hold the rental amount or do they hold the rental amount + 25% or up to $250 .. I searched all over the website and my Confirmation and couldn't find it.. I just want to be sure I bring the larger CC if need. Thanks Michelle

Hi,
Alamo just charges the amount of the rental - No Hold

I believe they charge the rental amount at pick up.

Hey Michelle!

I use a debit card with Alamo and they don't seem to charge anything to it until I drop off the car. I ususally check my balance while I am on vacation to see if our vacation pay got deposited and the money for the car is always in there. What I am quoted is what I pay.
