We have done national emerald aisle before which you pick your car. We have a SUV thru alamo. Do you pick your car out of the aisle or do they assign you a car? I know we have to go to the counter. We are coming in late. We just want to make sure we get the SUV. Thanks, Humphrey

Enroll in Quick Silver, then you won't have to wait in line, from what I have read here. There is a kiosk in the garage.

Even if your ressie says to go to the counter? Or would I have to modify it and it would then say ok to use kisok?

DH & I just got back from WDW. We rented our car through Alamo and Orlando (MCO) allows you to pick your own car and they have a wonderful selection. We went through quite a few cars until we found the one we liked the best in Full-Size which was a 2006 Ponitac Montana Van. Wow, that was so nice. If you register through Alamo's Quick Silver program (simple to do online), when we arrive at any airport that has Alamo OFF THEIR AIRPORT such as Tampa, the shuttle bus driver will close the doors on the shuttle and leave even if you are the only one in the bus as that is the deal with Quick Silver. Recently, we were in Tampa, as the shuttle arrived, driver asked right away "do you have Quick Silver", yes, sir and off we went. SO funny. Costs nothing to join. Also, MOUSESAVERS.com has a TON of coupons for ALAMO. So go on Mousesavers, click on transportation and go to rental cars and then from there Alamo and you will see quite a few options for getting a fab rate. We paid $111.00 for the week on the Van. I did NOT take the collision liability as I have a rider on my own commerical ins covering rental cars. SO, $111.00 in Orlando and it was $97.00 in Tampa(recently)!! Good Luck!! Have a blast in DISNEY!!!

If it's not a mid-size SUV and you don't use a coupon you can do online check in. We dit that in November, it was great.

After joining Quick Silver, how long does it take to get your membership info. I thought we would get an email, but nothing yet. Thanks.

We joined the night before we left on our trip (last week) and I had my email the next morning with my membership number. I did have to stand in line, because it was the only way to activate my QS membership for the first time. The rep said next time I come, I can go straight to the gargage and bypass the line. My ressie doesn't mention that, but it is what we were told. When we got home from our 9 day trip on Feb. 10, my paperwork and papercard was waiting for me. I signed the contract, again, and faxed it in.
