Alamo at MCO today

We arrived today at 9:45 am.
Went straight to the Alamo lot to see what was available on the full row.
We were shocked when we saw nothing but minivans!!!
The full row and the compact row had only minivans; no cars at all!!!
So we grabbed two T&C and headed out!!!

Just thought I'd give an update on what was available when we arrived.
Hope others are as fortunate as everyone was today!!

I know you consider that fortunate...
HOWEVER, I would not! I HATE mini vans!!
Now if they want to give me an SUV... but If I rented a car, I would much rather have a car than a stinkin' mini van....

In this case if you didn't want a van just tell them and they will allow you to pick a car from the National lot.

Don't count on this happening. The few times I have dealt with Alsmo at MCO they seemed to go out of their way to be rude and unhelpful. Saw one agent screaming at a customer because she couldn't remember what size car she reserved. (She had nicely asked him to check and he yelled "it is Your responsibility to know that information")

We've found this out the last few times we've been: they only have minivans left. As I've said before, they put such high rates on minivans that no one reserves them. Everyone reserves cars, then they run out of cars and have to put minivans in their place. If they would lower the rates on the minivans to be competitive with the car rates then people would reserve them. This way they're giving the minivans away for car rates.

I wouldn't be happy either. That happened to me once in Hartford with National. They found me an Impala that needed washed, they ran it through. I opened up the trunk to put my luggage in and there was spilled dog food in it!

I would not be happy about this either. We arrive next week and are trying to decide between an Alamo and a Budget rental. Maybe I should just keep both for now just in case.

Budget is no different. We had an suv reserved last Oct and all they had was minivans left. They supposedly tried to find one for us with Avis but couldn't.

Sorry for the delay, but I haven't been able to get in here since posting this thread.
We have had one disaster after another since arriving at WDW!!
Clearly, our luck at MCO did not follow us to Disney!!

They did have Siennas, but they were not on the regular rows, only in the 8-pass minivan row.
All of the minivans available to us we're either T&C or Caravan.

As to being happy, yes, we were thrilled, because we have two ppl on scooters.
We are able to simply heft the scootersit to the back of the vans without having to disassemble them.
