Aladdin's Oasis

I am wondering what the crowds are like right now. I have the Aladdin’s Oasis package reserved for PTN, but after reading the food reviews I am thinking I would rather spend that money on something else. We will be there the last weekend of celebration. What are our odds of finding a good seat for the second parade for free, and where should we try to get it?

How many are in your group? Ages? Since you will have 2 days to try for good parade viewing, you can try from either Town Square (where the 2nd parade will begin) or IASW (where it will end). It probably will be crowded with guests wanting a last chance to see PTN, but if you don't have to have a curb or bench seat, there is plenty of good viewing in the 2nd and 3rd rows. (If things don't work out the first night, you can still try again the next night.) We've had very good viewing this summer with anywhere from a 5-30 minute wait for the 2nd parade. Since you will be there on a holiday weekend, I would cruise the parade route about 45 minutes to an hour before parade time and take whatever spots look good behind the curb. Then get a snack or drink and rest your feet while you wait.

 

[To Disneyland and Beyond]

I have been twice to see the late PTN (10:45 p.m. I think)- once in March and once in July. In both cases there were very low crowds near IASW even though these were crowded times in the parks. We staked out our curb spot an hour early and could have just walked up 10 minutes before it began both times. That said, I am sure it will be more crowded the last weekend. We've also done Aladdin's Oasis for the earlier parade and actually sitting in Aladdin's Oasis is a really nice escape from the crowds. It's empty back there, shaded and pretty. I thought the food was boring but the servers are very nice and my kids loved the food.
