Anyone know what "Aladdin and Jasmine's Storytale Adventures" are? They are on the DL list for the first Saturday in November.

I was wondering about this myself...anyone?

It's held at "Aladdin's Oasis" in Adventureland - it's a live 20-minute or so show featuring Jasmine, Aladdin, and a storyteller who tell the story of Aladdin. They enlist several kids from the audience to help out during the show. After the show, there's an opportunity to meet and greet Jasmine and Aladdin.

There's more of a description, and some photos, on allearsnet: allearsnet.com/dlr/tp/dl/dl_alad.htm

We did something like this when we went in 2003. I twas in DCA then but the decription sounds the same. My DD then 2 absolutley loved it.

There's still an Aladdin show at DCA, too - but that one is a big Broadway-style production performed in the Hyperion Theater, and much more elaborate than the simple storytelling they do at the Disneyland show. (It's a great show, though, and I consider it a "must see" at DCA.)

So...two parks...two Aladdins, but two very different experiences.

Aladdin & Jasmine's Storytelling Adventures at Disneyland, in inside Aladdin's Oasis in Adventureland.
The elaborate looking light-colored building between the Jungle Cruise exit and the Enchanted Tiki Room exit.

Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular at DCA, is inside the Hyperion theater in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot.

Neither one of these shows is new. They are both a few (or more) years old.

They both did have fairly recent refurbishments to their facilities though, where there were no performances of either show, in either venue, for over a month.

Plus, the Aladdin at the Aladdin's Oasis is a little hottie :thumbsup2 :teeth: Way too young for me, but made me wish I had an unattached sister I could hook him up with! We saw him at Aladdin's Oasis in 2005, then again at Goofy's Kitchen in 2006. And he didn't even mind that my son had his breakfast of hot dogs and mac & cheese smeared all over his face when Aladdin came to our table at Goofy's Kitchen!

The Oasis show is well worth seeing, especially if your kids are into Aladdin and Jasmine (though most grown ups can skip it!). We used to go to it all the time a few years ago, but I haven't seen them do it for months (probably over a year?) I thought I read they had to close because the space wasn't ADA approved, or maybe it was the fire codes? Something like that. -- I was suprised to see it open again when we went for the first day of the Halloween celebration (though we didn't wait to see it...maybe next time!).

Oh, and it's behind the Tiki room, next to the exit from Jungle Book.
