I tried the official app, Ask Otto and MouseWait, and none give the current time Aladdin
FP's are being given out for... is there somewhere that does?

When I was there last Thursday they were giving them out by the entrance to the theater by the painting of road. They also had a standby queue for people that didn't have a fast pass. But the place was packed to the max

The interest has PACKED the entire theater.
Before the FP's began, we arrive a few minutes after the doors opened and the only seats available were at the TOP of the Balcony.
I've hiked the stairs once before and it's a long hike, I was glad to use the escalator for the last portion. It's a long way up there!

Any updates on Aladdin Fast Passes? We are taking an impromptu 2-day trip tomorrow and this is a must do for us. Any input / help would be greatly appreciated.

:thanks:

FP for Aladdin? Didnt know this, I really want to see it on these next 2 trips so thanks fornthe heads up.

I have a question about the FP - you get the FP for a specific show, right? But you still wind up in big pack of people, basically still having to be there early to have a decent chance for a good seat?

This is exactly what happens. Today there were people lines up around 10 for an 1140 show in the fastpass line (return time I think was 1045-1115)

Thanks, gotta rethink whether I really want to waste that much time just waiting.

You don’t have to use your FastPass and it is not “linked”, so I would recommend getting one and making the decision when you get to the show. Yesterday (12/29) we received FastPasses for the 1:05 show and showed up at about 12:30. I was shocked with how few people were in line! I don’t think most people know about this…

I was there yesterday with some cousins from Texas. We got in the standby line for the 3:30'ish show, and were basically at the front, but part of our 17-person party didn't make it in time. We found out that fastpasses were still available for the 5:10pm show, so we all left the line and got those fastpasses. The purple kiosk carts are to the left of the Hyperion Theater, in front of the restrooms. So, as you walk down the street in the Hollywood section, turn left, and the kiosk carts will be right there. We had a return time of 3:45-4:45, and were told not to get there after 4:45 or we wouldn't be guaranteed a seat. We had a bite to eat, and made it to the line at 4:40. The line was still outside, so it was pretty long, and even grew more after we got in it - to the Monsters Inc ride. After they let out the prior show they let us in the courtyard. We ended up sitting in the orchestra section on the right side, and had decent seats - we were two rows back of the aisleway that bisects the front and back section, so the Prince Ali parade was right in front of us.

I really enjoyed the show, and am glad I saw it one last time before Frozen opens. The people in our party who had not seen the show before were delighted, and everyone else enjoyed it, too.

I started to Periscope it, but decided that I would rather just enjoy the show, and I thought the image was small, anyway.

You absolutely don't have to invest that much time in order to get a decent spot. If you have a particular spot you want you might, but with the number of VIP, DAS and WC people who go in before you it's still possible you might not get front row or whatever seat you are trying to get even if you are the first FP person through the door

Actually, I don't go for "front of house, center" seats. I like seats that are a bit further back, preferably raised higher than the row in front of it (I'm a bit on the shorter side). But I'm fairly flexible, as long as it's not all the way on the side, or last row in the balcony type seats.

Ran into this the other day. The fast passes require you to be there 25 minutes before the start of the show and they do close the fast pass line promptly at that time.

When are your trips? Aladdin is ending for good in early January. I think the 10th or 11th.

Right now and Jan 9th... but also dont want to spend that much time witing in line (30 min? WITH a FP?!)... We have seen it before so I could skip this trip but I am bringing my Momz for her birthday and want to do a Park H day and there is too much to do to wait around.... sigh

It depends on how busy the park is that day. The showing around 12 (lunch time) and the last showing of the day around 4(sometimes cancelled) arent as busy as the 2 o clock showing. As its been stated the show has gotten more popular because it is a good show, its the only show I am willing to arrive a little bit early to get a good spot for besides world of color and Im not a show person.

Usually you can walk in to the regular line ten minutes before any show and get fine seats, but as also stated sometimes the show is packed and you take a trip up some stairs.
