Hi. We are going to Disney for the first time in a few weeks. Woohoo!!!

Anyway I was wondering about Aladdin- does anyone know if it's very similar to broadway's Aladdin? I know Broadway's is obviously much longer--- but I'm wondering if we should splurge and get Broadway tickets for this summer to see Aladdin as well, or if it'll be kind of a waste having seen Disneland's Aladdin too.

I haven't seen the DLR version yet, but we saw the Broadway version and it's amazing. The costumes are incredible and the magic carpet effect is very impressive. We went for my 5yo DD's birthday and she was absolutely blown away - I highly recommend!

I haven't seen the Broadway version yet, but I highly suspect it would be worth getting tickets to in addition to seeing the CA version, which I love. We've seen the Broadway version of Beauty and the Beast several times both on Broadway and in National Tours and it blows the parks version of Beauty and the Beast at WDW away (although we really enjoy the parks version too).

We have not been to Aladdin on Broadway. But, every time we visit DL, we go to Aladdin at least twice(sit in a different area each time). We do highly recommend it!:cool1:

There are for sure some differences in that there are different characters in each show. The broadway show has more musical numbers and different staging. I think it's worth seeing both.

Buy the tickets. I saw the broadway version when they did their pre-show in T.O. I was literally crying during A whole new world. There are new songs not from the movie too. See it. You will love it.

I can't say whether it is similar to the park version, but I agree with everyone else that the Broadway show is great! I may be biased a little as I worked at DTG for several years, but Aladdin is a wonderful production. The time flew by and I was incredibly impressed by the sets and the special effects (the magic carpet scene alone is worth the ticket prices). I've seen all the Disney shows multiple times, and the only other time I've ever seen a standing ovation mid-show was during Beauty and the Beast's final Broadway performance-- in Aladdin, it's every time after the "A Friend Like Me" number. It's that good!
